nuclear option quest

i need to find the tunnel to gain acess to the institute. i've looked all over the grounds of the C.I.T., and can't seem to locate the tunnel entrance. what am i doing wrong ? any info would be very helpful. btw. awesome game.

Spoiler alert : You aren't looking for a tunnel. Instead you need to locate a particular someone and get something they have on their "person". And then get that something looked at.

I'd put it less harshly than that, but perhaps have a look at the active quest and see what it says to do.

If you are at that point in the game, the tunnel is a sewer pipe on the rivers edge east of C.I.T. ruins Your pipboy should have an indicator for it.

Seconded. If you're doing the Nuclear Option quest for the Minutemen, the quest should have a marker pointing it out.

Whoops, read "gain access to the Institute" and assumed it was the courser quest. These guys above are right, sorry for my bad information there.

i was abble to look what i needed in the fallout 4 wiki. i'm inside the institute now. thks to all the info given me.
