Need help to delete all mods and clean install
I'd download some mods from Bethesda in game
Seem to run fine, but then I need more
So I start to mods from Nexus and now it seem all mods are a mess

I want to know are there a ways to clean delete all mods
Without uninstall game's file and save progress

did you use any form of a mod manager? if so use that to delete your mods. if not then the best way to insure you got rid of everything is to delete everything in your fallout Data folder. then verify your game and let it reload the basic data files you need.

I would try FO4edit first. It could just be one thing messing you up

I download Nexus Mods through Vortex mods manager
I'm once uninstall all mods from Vortex
and Delete all .ini file in Doc > My games > Fallout 4
Then Verify integrity and relaunch game
All mods are still there (Both Bethesda / Nexus Vortex)

But I didn't touch any thing in
Steamapp > Common > Fallout 4 > Data / Mods yet
Look like there're a lot of mods file in there
.esp .esm .ba2 etc.
I think I should delete something in these folder
But I don't know which one are the original FO4 files to keep
If I did this part, It gonna be a long process like re install all game file right ?

And what about Mods from Vortex manager ?
How to get rid and clean them before reinstall
What should I did first ?
-Delete Fallout 4 Data and Mods folder (steamapp)
-delete My games Fallout 4 .ini (mydoc)
-Clean delete Vortex and Mods (How?)
-Verify re-download

PS. I didn't download FO4edit yet
Just Vortex with 3 Mods and Fallout 4 Configuration Tool

google "fallout 4 vanilla data directory structure" to find out which files to keep

And when you have done cleaning your FO4 you need to start one new game.

Could some mods did any harm with original Vanilla files?
Or no, Vanilla files can't change or merge with anything
So I can keep original Vanilla files and delete all other
Or should I delete All of files in Data Folder included Vanilla files

some mods can F your save up. Prepare to sacrifice old saves.

OK, I think my Fallout4 is a bit clean now
-Delete Mods folder and not a Vanilla files in Data folder
-Delete All .ini files
-Delete Save game progress (Backup)
-Verify Fallout4
-Start a new game

With my rig and setting in original launcher
-Q8200 2.33Ghz
-DDr2 4GB
-GTX 1060 3GB
My frame rate on Post-Apocalypse Sanctuary Hills is 35-50 FPS (Vanilla)

Been working on some sort of Editor software to improve performance
By Mod List and Load Order Guide (BiRaitBec Modlist)
-FO4 Configuration Tool (Done)
-BethINI (Done)
-FO4Edit (working)
-F4SE (not yet)
-xSE Pluginpreloader F4 (not yet)
*Nexus Mod Manager (not yet and no mod in bethesda yet)

My goal is to set a game (Vanilla) run smooth (stable FPS) without mod (only editor)
And I'm really have no idea what FO4Edit / F4SE / xSE does
Just following BiRaitBec Modlist step
If all of there work well then I'm gonna download some mods like
-Azar's Hair styles
-Azar's Holstered weapons
-Girly Animation
-AWKCR
-Modern Firearm
-Rusty face fix

Then Replace my old save game progress
(they used to run with these mods)
And see if my old save still work with new performance config

Any guidance for me ?

You probably have your saves in cloud, so you can do reinstall without all of this ♥♥♥♥.
Uncle64 Mar 26, 2019 @ 12:34pm
Yea delete the mods installed in you data folder.
Start new game, you cant use your old saves.
And turn of Cloudsave, will not work well whit modded games, and it dont store all your saves.

I would add more DDr2 ram to = at least 8 gigs, minimum for better performance.

Update
I finally did clear all mods and Semi-reinstall
Then mainly install new mods from Nexus by NMM
Except Modern Firearm only available on Bethesda FO4 mods

The result is good
I can replace my old save and play with no problem (yet)
Even this seem doesn't fix my frame rate that much
But I got a lot more mods than Bethesda mods itself

Yes, My old PC
Seem like this is my main problem that affect low frame rate
Gonna looking for new hardware
