Fallout 4
Fallout 4 Nexus mods using vortex not working
I've Installed them in order, everything is seemingly good to go, I've done Litterly everything I've read on the steam forums and other websites from messing with fallout 4 .ini files in my documents and files in %appdata%. I am 100% certain and have had it double checked by a friend who is pretty smart on this, and the mods are not working. I don't understand, why is modding fallout 4 on the pc :steamsad:so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard? Why did they do this? Ridiculous.

"Litterly"?
Seriously though, first rule of modding is install one mod, check that it works, then another, check that, etc. Laborious, but it works. For me anyway.

Also, make sure you're launching F4SE, and you might need to run as admin ( I don't, but YMMV)

Well; I don't believe you. This contradicts with what you wrote after that:

There are a lot guides and video's that introduces people like you in the modding scene. The information that I have seen are pretty straightforward. Either your rushed in or are just trying something without doing an effort to actually read about the modding itself. There is even people that just adds a mod without checking the description; they were just going by a recommendation list or title/image stuff.

Everyone has to read and learn something first.
I'm inclined to think that it is an improper setup of his vortex then actually a 'modding' issue.
Might have forgotten to read and fill out the Id10t form in the Help section.
You're all a bunch of idiots who did nothing but rag on me and offer no help or solutions. I fixed the problem on my own. Thank you, steam community, for once again showing how big of brains you have! I've been modding for 23 years! I've been modding since long before "modding guides" have been available, but thank you steam community, for telling me im retarded and to "go watch some guides". Turns out, as usual, I had to figure out this problem my self, because everyone else was so quick to piss all over somthing.

Nope, Im not a complete savage brained dult. I thought of that WAAAY before I made this post.
mmm took you 4 months to figure it out? Your last post was in april lol. But glad you got it working and sorry the community didn't help any, always useless kids about mouthing off instead of doing stuff.

Next time you have a problem ignore the useles idiots. Post your problem, post everything you have tried or done, and hopefully someone who isn't a 7 year old brat will help you out.

You're just an arsehole, simply put, nothing you said was helpful and I can tell by the tone of your writing you did not want to. I figured out my problem, somthing people on steam can never seem to fathom on how to do. Thank you, for being a complete waste of time and suggesting things I would've thought of as a 3 year old with brain cancer.

Nope, If it was that, I wouldn't have made this post. That's an easy fix, im not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ retarded.
And for anyone wondering what the problem was, Anytime I have mods installed through the in-game moding mixed with vortex mods, the vortex mods don't work! Weird.

Vortex sucks use mod organizer 2, i used to love NMM but then they forced vortex down our throats.
never had any problems with NMM, Vortex, or anything else. Must be a use problem
Someone should just put in a ticket to lock the topic.

The OP never posted enough information to get help. Then the information that is posted made no sense.

On top of that the OP was already raging and ranting. People that are raging and ranting tend to do the same towards others when they get told they did not do something right.

...messing with fallout 4 .ini files...

I have never had to edit my .ini files. Vortex has always done that for me. I might have had to change the .ini back to use precombined meshes after removing Scrap Everything though.

...files in %appdata%.

I have never had to do anything in that folder, like ever.

Well if it still did not work then your friend obviously aint that great at double checking.

I don't understand, why is modding fallout 4 on the pc :steamsad:so ..... hard?

1. Download Vortex.
2. Go to mod webpage, click auto install
3. After download is done click install
4. After mod is installed click enable.
5. If Vortex says the mod has a conflict choose the default choice.

If all else fails then you uninstall Fallout 4, delete every Fallout 4 folder in Steam and My documents and try again.

It really does not get much easier than that.

Could you even imagine trying to manage like 100 mods manually? @#$% that, lol.
