You can make your character's face completely young and smooth in the vanilla game settings. You have to pick the correct skin textures, but it takes some time and experimentation to get it right.
I'd re-read up on CBBE so that you are more familiar with it's application.
If you are using preset mods for textures make sure you have all the required mods for 'that' CBBE preset download.

edit: changed my tone, because to each his own, some people like vanilla textures but I cannot stand them at all
