I am using this mod to tune it down. It gives a cool down for Minutemen quests and prevents you from having more than one timed mission going on at once. I have no idea why Bethesda made MM quests so aggressive. This mod tunes them closer than I would have expected.
There are two versions of the mod.
- Basic
- Enhanced
I am using the Basic one.

Or mods.
or type this into google "fallout 4 how to stop preston" and pick your poison.
In that case, how can i deliver a quest from command console? Any help with that. Preston is on Castle already (I'm not hanging there) so if i can deliver a completed quest from console so i can get rid of them from my quest list. Maybe i should send preston to zimonja outpost for exile :D
Preston bothers me less than he used to.
Purists are treated as heretics around here!
Just kidding. Each their own. :)
Console commands can be problematic, because even radiant locations can link to other quests in the area. Visit there can start or end another quest, or provide a trigger event for third quest.
Completing quests without actually killing the target character (boss in the area) can also lead to bugged alias calls.
I would either recommend reconsidering the modding, or getting used to idea of running after radiant quests. While completing quests for console works, there is no way to promise you that your game wouldn't get bugged over broken triggers and alias calls.
My only hope is what LiMpY said above "He quits after awhile. For me it was around level 79 and MANY missions done. Now when I talk to him his only interest is whether I want him to join me."
I'm at level 65 and i hope he will quit bugging me eventually.
