iNumHWThreads for Hyperthreaded CPU?
I don't know whether to put 2 or 4 for the value, because my i3 6100 has hyperthreading, so it has 2 cores but 4 threads. Which one do I use?

Hyperthreading is simply 1 CPU core pretending to be 2. So 2 becomes 4, and 4 becomes 8 and so on and so forth. AFAIK the game can use 4 threads max so it's kind of irrelevant how many logical cores you have available beyond that, the game simply won't use them. (The OS will, however.)

Have you seen the CPU core program for sale in the Store?

I'm sorry, but I don't really understand...Neither of your comments clearly answers my question.

Why are you worrying about it then.

Normally you change hyperthreading in bios.

Isn't it hyperthreading on or off ?

In your case, you would use "4". That setting wants the number of THREADS, not cores. So just enter 4 and be done with it. The game will use whatever is available, assuming that Hyperthreading is already optioned in the BIOS. You can easily check that.

Exactly. Set HT on (4 threads) and that's it. No need to change it to 2 (HT off) for anything really.

I don't know what bios is or how to check it. I've mostly given up on Fallout 4 anyway because the performance is garbage, so I'm playing Skyrim Special Edition instead. Much better both in loading and framerate.

Your i3 6100 is under spec for Fallout anyway.

Wrong.

Wrong.

If it's a dual core CPU, even with Hyprethread, it, in fact, is under-spec, because Fallout 4 (And almost all games) do not correctly use Hyprethreading at all. Hyperthreading is only useful to force a game that executes on 4 threads to run on a dual core CPU. Your performance is going to be probably console quality to be honest.

What ever, you will not be able to run Fallout 4 properly or at all on that CPU. Good luck.
