No mods, Cannibal perk not working.

So, as the title says, I got the cannibal perk. I don't have any mods installed.

When I walk up to a dead person, it shows "space to eat body" or whatever. I press space, and nothing happens. No, I am not at max health, nor limited by radiation.
I don't have space mapped to anything else.
I did a google search, but no help.

Anyone else had this issue and figured it out?

have you preciously had mods installed, or edited and ini. otherwise maybe rebind your keys or try pluging in a controller and seeing if it works then. never had that problem before but to be honest, only got cannibal on one or maybe two characters. try reloading a save and re-earning the perkmaybe?

this perk cannot be used while wearing power armor.

No, never had a mod installed or modded any game files.

I read about the 'only when not wearing power armor', so no, that is not the problem.
