Nuclear Physicist - Core Eject!!
Got this perk from Nuclear Physicist - 3 and you know what i think? It is ♥♥♥♥ing stupid, i got the perk to have my fusion cores last longer.. and.. and i lost 3 cores from now already.

In Boston Public Library i was in a tight spot and and dropped one just next to my♥♥♥♥♥. and lost PA's legs and was almost dead.. and another one while fighting, and another one on the exit... I didn't even understand when it first happened.

Lost all cores on me, ♥♥♥♥ed up whole armor, almost died many times.. This is survival mode damn it!! Who designed this nonsnese for god sake!! I had to WALK to cambridge police station for 20 minutes.. With no cores on me..

Whoever designed this... i hope you die in a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fire!!

Two stars last for several days if you don't run...three stars is pointless unless you like fireworks.

Didnt even know how it works.. +%50 looked so good. But it turned out to be a problem..

It would be nice if we could throw it at enemies or it had a seperate key to activate it.

Try a modification that may repair this problem with the description. I find myself two stars fair enough.

Yeah, it's another one of Bethesda's braindead design choices..

I wonder if the people that come up with some of this stuff have ever played a single game in their life. Because I find it hard to believe any "real" gamer would come up with something like this and think it would be a great idea.

I have the game on both PC and Console, and i play mostly on Console but must tell you my way anyhow if you are a PC user. (as you probably are -: ).

The button to throw molotov / grenades is the same one as the Eject Fuison Core on Console, but if you have a grenade Equipped it will not eject the core, just throw a grenade. I think this is similar on the PC, as i cant see on Keymap edit a special button for the fusion core part.

This last rank 3 on Nuclear Physicist can be golden on any normal playthrough, as the cores dont weigh any (ammo) and you can carry tons. It can relly mess things up when combined with a Jetpack and Impact Landing upgrades, and Shielded paint and other mods that reduce Explosive damage to you.

It is pretty clear this perk was intended for normal to hard playthroughs, as it is not good at all on Survival, as cores are way more preciuos then, and all damage is increased. I have also blown myself to bits with rank 3, and i find that on Survival rank 2 is enough.

But load your game and try it out while equipping a grenade. I think it will help. On my console the Power Swing for Meele is also the same button so i cannot find a way to utilize the rank 3 Fusion Eject on Survival. On PC i play with a lot of mods so this perk is seldom taken then.

It is a game breaker for me. I use power armor and havent even died once (and dont have any intention to do so) in my current playthrough. So i decided to fix it.

Installed f4se + "unlimited survival mode" plugin (not ESP)

Used this console commands to remove the perk and add 1 perk point to refund it.

player.removeperk 1d2471
CGF "Game.AddPerkPoints" 1

Happy end for me. Oh bethesda what were you thinking tsk tsk..

I don't get it. I have taken Nuclear Physicist Rank 3 several times, and never had a fusion core ejection. Never tried to do it, and never had it happen involuntarily. Are you saying you are having accidental fusion core ejections?

Avoid this. It's too easy to accidentally eject cores. More bother than it's worth.

The design uses the same key as for throwing grenades. So if you run out of grenades without noticing or don't have a grenade equipped, the game ejects a core.

There are mods to disable or severely slow down the wear of a nuclear battery. Put and do not suffer. Wear a nuclear battery came up with an idiot who knows nothing about the world of Fallout.

That explains it. I always carry a few grenades, but rarely use them.
