Weak lamps in the settlements.
How to make lamps brighter in their settlements? They are all very weak. Only a light bulb hanging on the wire shines well.

Yeah I find the same. Spotlights and floodlights are much dimmer than ordinary light bulbs. What gives.

You can use an old trick using the console parameters to scale the light effect to a larger proportion giving a stronger, brighter effect. This will make the light iluminate the area but asides that there may be modifications to increase the lighting.

The tracklights are nice. I think they're from a DLC? I don't know, I'm using the USO mod that adds a load of stuff for building.

Also, for residential buildings I like to use a lamp that can go on the ground or a table.

I think it was designed that way to keep lights from casting too much light through walls. The flipside being that it's difficult to actually light anything up.

There are mods to make lights brighter, naturally. Just do keep in mind that those lights have no occlusion, so if you put them too close to exterior walls it will look weird (or you can cover it up by lighting the exterior too). Keeps you from just using the hanging light bulb all the time.

No. Fluorescent lights are also weak. Only the hanging light shines realistically on the whole room.

Look for some mods, Depending on what type you want there are quite a few.

Some have bright and extra bright options. But yes vanilla lights suck. Just the hanging bulb and that plain caged wall one are worth using.

Some oil lamps from SSEX I believe, But not 100% sure.

Do you know any mods to improve vanilla lamps without bugs? On the Nexus mods are old and with the current updates of the game, bugs and problems will clearly arise.

Use the console parameters very simple form and no bug at all. Click in the light effect of the lamp and scale up. No trouble at all.

The effect of changes through the console is saved and is not reset when loading?

To undo any changes you simply lower the scale through the console or reload any previous saved game.
