Anway to launch a smoke grenade for the artillery?
Love having the artillery come blasting down, problem is can't throw the &*()^* grenade far or accurately - need a launcher! Any mod?

found a mod that uses the Broadsider to launch grenades, but it weighs 27 pounds

if you have a few perks of demolition expert your grenades get a throwing arc shown on screen which should increase accuracy. distance isn't really an issue, and ...the bombardment is over a rather wide area so it only needs to get close.

You're probably attempting to lob grenades from too great a distance. If taking damage from powerful and numerous enemies is your concern, consume a Stealth Boy, dart in, lob the grenade, and retreat. There is also at least one other aid item granting temporary invisibility, but damn me if I can't remember it/them (my aid inventory is a miles-long list; it would take too long to read it all, and I don't need invisibility all that much as I have the stealthy Marine Recon outfit under my power armor*).

* Ada's Stealth augmentation really is not very helpful at all, especially since she has the tendency to holler something like, "Engaging offensive protocols!" and blows your cover by charging in where angels fear to tread.
45 degree angle, boost your Strength (?), or sneak in. With regular stealth even, a Stealth Boy is nice to have, but not essential.
But yeah I too would love a smoke grenade launcher.

Agreed.

I cant understand why Bethesda didnt include one . They should have made the artillery smoke grenade to fit the minuteman flare gun.

One area I want to use artillery is Gunner's Plaza courtyard: several high level gunners, 2 machine guns, but I can't throw signal grenade far enough to get all the gunners/guns blown up

I'll have to look at the Demo Expert perk, how many perks needed to make it effective

Yeah that would have been perfect.

BTW I tested and Strength (including PA boosted Strength) definitely gives greater range for smoke grenades, as you would expect.

There's an "invisible wall" bug in the game that causes artillery grenades to stop before they get to the target and fall straight down (Bethesda screwed up the time of flight calculation). I use the mod "Better Artillery Signal Flares" to fix it.

This. Use a stealth boy to get close, then run away.

Smoke clouds like the ones the robobrains use that block line of sight. They are really annoying in Fallout 76 when a robobrain is in with other ranged bots.
