Go back to your base periodically and store the excess stuff. You haven't met Trashcan Carla yet? She shows up at Sanctuary pretty early, you can sell guns to her. I wouldn't scrap guns early on as you don't get much material from them, unless you get the Scrapper perk.

So guns and like clothing/armor to save to sell them later ? OK
And junk ? i can scrap it all ?
If you the type of player do like spending time scavenging everything you find or selling everything then start adressing your skill points to strengh and start travelling with someone along your side. I use Codsworth or Curie the best so far that can carry a lot of weight.

It may seem like it's worth picking up every weapon/armor, but it really isn't, especially in the early game. The weight versus value of most weapons you come across is simply not worth the hazzle in the long run and it will severly slow your game progress if you try to hoard everything.

If you got some free inventory space on your way back "home", then there's no harm filling up on weapons to scrap. Likewise, if your already going to a trader then you might as well fill up with whatever trash you can find anyway. Otherwise you should try to limit it to heavy modded weapons only and unique ones worth keeping.

Don't fill up on bread before you get to the main course..

You can scrap all the junk. Just put it in your workshop.

do not, i reapeat, do not pick up armor for selling. Just pick up the better variant of armor you're wearing and wear them, armors are so cheap not worth selling.

I've noticed that headgear often, but not always, have decent value to weight ratios.
Even if the item is crap, legendary effects boost their selling value.

Stop picking everything up. You don't need it all. You don't need most of it.

too general a statement: some armor is worth picking up to sell!!!

Divide the value by the weight, if that number is > 5, then pick it up
