How to increase shadow render distance?

I've noticed that some shadows for certain objects only render a few feet in front of my character. It's kinda annoying. I already have shadow quality and shadow distance maxed in the launcher setting and i'm not sure what settings in the ini would affect this. It's kinda annoying to have some shadows just suddenly appear directly in front of you. So does anyone know what i could do or what settings in the ini i can change to fix this? I don't remember having this issue is previous playthroughs of the game.

nothing? nobody knows a way? i've tried looking around online multiple time and i can't find anything. But there has to be a setting in the ini files to increase this

There are settings for render distance as well of shadow quality.

I usually use bilagos config tool for a plethora of ini tweaks in a handy interface:

Draw distance and resolution on the performance tab.

Also if you start getting fps loss after cranking it up, This mod adjusts it on the fly to keep target fps:

I use mod organizer and i don't think the config tool works with it. Mod orgaizer creates it own seperate ini files

The .ini settings you are inquiring about is:

fShadowDistance= (I set mine at 40000 for reference.)



While this link from the S.T.E.P. project is for SKYRIM, mostly same engine. Same rules apply.
