Everyone goes aggro for legit nothing

I was in Bunker hill trading when suddenly everyone just turned on me and began attacking, I had no gun out, was not wearing power armor, had Macready as a companion, I assumed it was a glitched so I reloaded a save, same thing happened 3 times in a row before I just ran up got the location and ran away, Now I just did the In Sheep's clothes or whatever it is called where the Mayor of Diamond city is found out to be a synth, I went up dealt with it, same situation Danse as my companion but not gun out and no power armor, me and piper killed him but then piper went agro on the secretary, I decided to just leave let her deal with it, so I went down the elevator of Diamond city and suddenly for me going down the elevator everyone went agro, I mean everyone in the city, not just one or 2 people, this really annoyed and confused me so if anyone has any answers please say

It's been a while since I've played that far in the game, but if Bunker Hill is the city I think it is, there's some stuff you can steal (a magazine?) at the top of a tower that nobody could possibly see you steal... but somehow they all know and will eventually try to kill you for it. Not right away, so that you know you done wrong, no. No, they lie in wait and take their time, then strike when you least expect it.

Your only hope is to go back and load a save from before stealing from them.

The wiki confirms the stealing idea. The magazine is not stealing, but there is some ammo there that is. If you stay away for about 3 game days they should reset.

I've had cars explode from fire fights I don't think I shot them but they've damaged wandering provisioners causing things to go aggro, I'm guessing a nearby car explodes damaging a traveling merchant causing bunker hill to lose its ♥♥♥♥ cuz its your fault for everything.

Oh, right, I forgot about that. I think that's how I ended up fixing my issue there... ran away to Sanctuary and slept for a week, just to be safe.

I entered bunker hill, talked to owner and said I was alone not a raider or anything, went to one of the traders, sold her a bunch of my stuff, walked away, and they all went agro, idk whats happening but thanks for your help
