There is no possibility for infinite materials over the console but the mod allows you to do that.

if you want to build only in the settlements that's right. then the console command tgm is enough. but that does not work when crafting weapons and armor if you did not have any materials before

yeah easiest to just console in 1000 shipments of the biggest variety that exist.

If you haven't been scrapping everything you find, or using perks to get more out of your salvaging, that's on you. There's absolutely nothing you cannot build in quantity if you're actually playing with those things in mind. No mods needed.

You can also just... figure out what components you need, look them up online with "FALLOUT 4 ITEM ID" as a search and... y'know. just dump them individually on your character. No need to get all the shipments, that's overkill to say the least.

I do think giving the shipments seems to crash the game tho. At least every time I have tried. It may just be the amounts.

I really do hate how the game handles 'give items' in any way - scrapping is ... just dumb. It really could just ask "how many of this thing you have [number] of do you want to scrap" and then do the math and "you got [x2 thing x5 other thing]" when done. Even when you console up those shipments, they show up and... it definitely hits. I recently had to install the secondary Project Mojave workshop pack in order to get the casino stuff (which... inexplicably that's the only way I could have those? even with the mod already installed?) and some of the instructions were... "install this pack using console" it was dumb as heck. I don't need screen spam about all that crap, just add it to my inventory plz.

That's because you shouldn't do that. Figure out what item and in what quantity you need - not 'want' - and deliver yourself a specific quantity of that item instead.

The "all shipments" command should normally work anyway (as it does for me in an unmodded game), but if it doesn't, giving yourself the individual materials is the viable alternative. Plus, you won't end up with an excess you don't use.

I'd also have to ask just how many shipments someone was giving themselves, since I could see it crashing if the amount was extraordinary.

Probably asked for 1000 of each instead of doing 100 which is ample for 5 or 6 settlements. if you use it close the console afterwards and you should see them being added and wait till their finished adding before doing anything else.
