Deacon Conversations Stuck On His Recall Code
He gave me his recall code quite a while ago. Now, any time I try to start a conversation with him, he says he's having second thoughts on his recall code. And that's the end of the conversation. This is the first time I've used Deacon as a companion, but I'm beginning to think something's wrong here. I'm playing survival difficulty here, so I can't console my way through this.

Anybody have any other ideas? I tried trading him back his recall code, but it did no good.

Apparently conversation has come to a complete stop with Deacon. Also I've been told, by the game, that I've reached the highest level of affection possible with Deacon, and there hasn't been the first hint of any flirting. So, I'm getting strange signals on this character. No talking, and, apparently, no lover's embrace.

Strange relationship. Guess it's time to ditch Deacon.

I read he doesn't like violence, but that is a pretty stupid thing to avoid in this game. In any case I had the same problem so I dumped him, for Preston. Couldn't think of a bigger insult, though Preston promised to mark one on my map....

This is normal. It is supposed to be this way. Find a bed to make a save game. Just in case. Then continue to read his recall code. ... I think it is a little silly how they forced this but all will be revealed when ...

"You can't trust everyone."?? I already knew he was a habitual liar. I guess the meaning is he doesn't want a favorite squeeze.

Hee Hee. I like the idea of him teaching you a lesson. And I like what he says about ignoring the words. But the way they forced the conversation is very confusing. It looks like something you should not do.

I agree, and, it's also very annoying, as a female, because he's actually the only companion I really would LIKE to have as a romantic partner. All the other available ones are meh, at best, and, at worst, dear gawd no.... Seriously, they did females NO favors with romantic partners.
