institutionalized quest bugged

so i talked to everyone used the disk and nothing i can't leave the institute or do anything cause nobody will talk to me except repeating same line over and over

You need to follow the quest line and talk to all the department heads. One of them will fix it so you can leave.

i was on brotherhood side when i did it and i think li was one who screwed up quest idk, my last save outside of quest was back after i got out of memory thing so i got way to go before i go back

If you glitched out with Li you may need to go back to an earlier save.

There's an alternative to Li. If you're 100% dedicated to rolling with the Brotherhood of Steel, then you can ruin your chance of an inside job with the Institute. You should get a new objective of going back to the Prydwen and talking to Elder Maxson and he'll tell you where else you'll need to go from there.

i got those objectives but i can't get out of the area at all is the issue i wonder if i not join any factions it be easier to join the institute or something

it dosnt matter if you havent "joined" any faction, all of them or only some. as others have seid you need to talk to ALL the department heads. how meany have you talked to and what dose the quest log say

also the wiki may tell you how to skip it if you have somehow bugged it out

also lol on saving so far back. always save before and after somthing big

yeah i went into the institute as non BoS used tape first as i entered on the porter control computer and walked in did quest and got if done.

Get everything done that you need to do in the institute, then you can stealth kill a scientist and it gives you the prompt to leave the institute
