As I understand you need to start a new game and you must play for raiders, there is no option to have a few settlements that would be vanilla?
Building raider bases, outposts, slave trade posts and stuff sounds amazing, but also I want to built like three or four "normal" settlements, one for advanced industry (also sim settlements), other one heavily modded and just looks cosy and nice, so it would be a good place to hang out and my vault for all my companions and simply the main home of my character.
Subscribe to the Channel so you can keep up to date with the latest information on the SS series.
I watched the Live Stream when Conqueror came out, and Raiders are the only faction at the moment that use the Conqueror system. You'll have to rely on the Base Mod, etc for the "Normal" settlements.
I have subscribed and I guess I will wait for upcoming updates, so maybe I will be able to play the mod with my curent save.
No, you don't need to play as the Raiders. There's a Raider questline that, along with NukaWorld actually makes a Raider playthrough interesting but you don't need to do it.
