"It's possible to mod the sh*t out of this game, I have about 280 mods installed and active at the moment, it took quite some time to get everything up and running, but it was worth it.
Also, if some mods wouldn't be working, always check the "posts" section in mod's Nexus page. Almost every time you can answer to your problems in there."
However problem might me in corrupt files, it's a long process to find them tho.
Telling someone that his/her game is crashing because of mods is same as saying "you are dead because you died"
On every thread that was ever made about crashing, the reason is "mods". Yea I know, it would be way more helpful if you could share some tips and tricks on how to "maintain" your game, instead of saying something that already was said by thousands of other people trough all these years.
Thanks
I would take a guess, that the game is modded quite decently, I mean that I tried to do everything I could to prevent my game from crashing and all that stuff, but it's Bethesda's game after all, even the fresh install of vanilla game is unplayable for some people.
At the moment game is running decently, not that good as it was when I played it the last time, but it's not too bad either.
The weirdest thing is, that I haven't touched the game, it's files or mods for two days, it was working very good, and now it's not, frame rate dropped, it was crashing on launch and etc.
Fallout 4 is like a living being, it can f*ck up even if your PC is turned off lol.
Data is baked into your save, so removing mods off of an existing playthrough increases your chance of a save corrupting.
I don't even trust uninstalling a mod that has an uninstall holotape. I personally will never, at any point, uninstall any mods that have already been loaded into a playthrough.
Also, if you're unaware of the problem with autosaves/quicksaves/saving over the same slot multiple times, relying on these will increase your chances of a save going bad. Always create new saves. Relying on saves that have been constantly overwritten is risky.
I've still never had a skyrim or fallout 4 save corrupt and I've played both games since launch, including using ridiculous amounts of mods.
Data corruption can always happen in any game, even with no mods, but if you take the proper steps you can definitely minimize your chances.
I realize this doesn't exactly answer your question, but keep this etiquette in mind for all future playthroughs to minimize your chances of something like this happening.
I just told myself to get F4 and build another crazy thing I did thought about yesterday, BUT(t) I ran F4 and it did noticed me about "graphic setings" -thats ok, I did not mind... but the game itself did not saw its "old" saves or anything... I managed to make game to see my "old" settings and saves, but everytime I load any save it goes CtD...
I have NO mods or anything just DLCs (I will try to reinstall all of it, might help...) but Im quite frustrated with it, because Im building "crazy" stuff since the game was "fresh" and I do not want it to get lost...
The most weird thing of them all is I just did not change a jot in my pc ! but uninstalling (fckng) EasyTune which has been sh!tt!ng all over the place and messing with my iCUE RGB settings (just WTF xD)
Reinstall did not help soo, what might be the problem...
