♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of Horizon coompatibility patches

Not including some randoom ones that, for example, remove the idiot savant perk sound...

Now the problem :
I usualy play for a while each sessiion, BUT i tend to run into CTDs kinda out of nowhere.
So far, i started a first playthrough with a bit less mods, and added a few, without any problems, and after like 30-40 hours into a playthrough, i would run into CTDs randomly after either a few minutes or over hours of playing the game...

Thing is, it seemed to me that the more static i was, the more i would get CTDs, like in that playthrough, i made Red Rocket my base settlement, and scrapped everything to make it look the way i wanted, using scrap everything, at the time (now replaced by Horizon's own scrap mod, which seems kinda the same, with even the same bugs in interiors ... ) and building with architect (Horizon's own integrated building mod)

So i would craft a lot of stuff at Red Rocket, and encounter some CTDs after crafting for a while, or just running around.

Meanwhile, i would barely have any while roaming the wasteland, but they could still occur ...

In the end, i chose to restart a playthrough to see if it would change anything, and it did for like 25 hours i think... But now they start to come back ...

I also considered the fact that i use both Horizon and Survival Options, which allow me to save the game where i want (Because ♥♥♥♥ saving at beds, when you can crash at any point in time) and i'm wondering if the autosave system might be the cause for it, tho i have no idea how to deal with it, as it's pretty freaking good to simply play the game with it saving itself every 10 mins or so ... Kinda adds to the immersion of a playthrough ...

Does anyone have an idea ? Was able to troubleshoot some issues with a specific mod i use, or even was able to solve that kind of CTD ?

I'd love some input on this !

Edit : New playthrough i'm doing right now, i made Homeplate my main settlement, since Horizon revamped it to be huge and even have part of the beginning of a Vault inside, and i figured so far i didn't even have a single CTD inside it (considering it's not in the world map, but inside it's own cell... )

Also, i used a mod to tweak some graphics and lowered Grass values, since i heard a guy having CTD problems and that was able to solve them doing that, i figured "why not"

Also no i'm on a Nvidia GPU, 1060 by the way

If you cleaned the Fallout4.esm, that is most likely one of the reasons for your problem with crashing.

To make it clear, i actualy cleaned them properly, i've been cleaning dirty ESM from most bethesda games to this point, don't worry about that.

Second, i did that AFTER experiencing crashes, trying to solve it, like i said.

So no, i doubt it's even linked to the issue.

ALSO, i thought too that scrap everything was the culprit... Thing is, i removed it and now use the one from Horizon, and i barely scrap stuff in settlements anymore.
So yeah, again that might not be the culprit at all.

Thanks for the bit on Armorsmith Exttended, i'll take a look at what mod i use that relies on it, since like most people, i got it for another mod.
Need AWKCR for Better Settlers and other mods, so yeah i'd like to keep it.

Also, i already use place everywhere.

I like the input, and all, but i've wrote my mod list guys, if you're willing to help, at least take a look at it, takes a simple CTRL+F Search to see if a mod you propose me isn't already in my list ...

Again, the thing is, with my issue, is that it's not that i CRASH when i arrive around a settlement where i scrapped stuff, but ANYWHERE, after some while, (usualy i can play for 30min to an hour without having any CTDS, but sometimes they happen more often...)
so yeah i doubt it's really linked to scraped stuff, especially since my newer playthrough, i barely scrapped anything.

EDIT : I even happen to crash sometimes in interior cells, like building and the likes ... It totaly depends, hence why i went looking at graphical issues, rather than scrapping stuff.
Also, again, it happens more and more as i progress through the game, usualy it doesn't happen at all for the 20-30 first hours of a playthrough, so yeah it seems like Skyrim memory bloat ...

We can't just check at your mod list & *puff* figure out everything, especially with this game.
Your mod list looks pretty ordinary, almost 90% similar to mine.

Now I see you have Reverb and Ambience Overhaul too. I suspect this mod is the culprit for the bloated memory. The hint being" after some while, (usualy i can play for 30min to an hour without having any CTDS, but sometimes they happen more often."

I doubt that the modder exported/bounced each sound FX with corresponding reverb effect, I suspect he applied it on the "master tracklist". You don't usually do that cause the reverb will start calculating reflections of every sounds, function of room size/volume (probably using basic presets like "small room" "medium room" "plate" "church" reverbs in this case) , and also start calculating the overlapping reflections + their "residue", endlessly. That's what happens on DAW like Ableton or Logic, too much reverb calculations on a long duration and you get memory hogs & sometimes crashes. That's why I suspect this mod.

You're also using Towbie's weapon sounds & Quieter settlements, I don't know how those two interract with the reverb & ambiance overhaul and maybe there's a conflict there too ?

Maybe try turning that modd off and see how the game runs. I don't see any other explanation atm to your issue (if it's not scrapping preculling or grass distance rendering (had an issue with that too, had to set it on super low with billago's fallout 4 config tool, Im not sure but I think there was a fix setting it at 1) maybe add your pc specs it might help

Edit: sorry for the text wall

removing it and continuing on the same save game isn't going to tell you if you fixed it. You have to start a new profile with all the same mods except scrap everything.

Thing is guys, i don't use scrap everything anymore, as i said, i already reinstalled the game and readded my mods without scrap everything BECAUSE the mod author or Horizon included a scrap mod that's decent to the game... So meh, i doubt that can still be an issue.

And i already have Place Everywhere.

Thanks for the info on armorsmith btw, didn't know about that, cool to remove it if it's useless.

Also my CTDs happen everywhere tho, even in interior cells (althrough i feel like they're less frequent, i think...) Even in Far Harbor where i had no settlement aside from the longfellow cabin where i barely scrapped anything !

And YES i did clean the ESM correctly, been doing that for any bethesda games so far, had no issue with it ! And loot doesn't show me anything else to clean (still i rarely clean mod Esps, unless i see the mod author recommending to do it, since he could do it himself)

NO mods at all, and CTDs out the yin-yang. SAVE before you ALT+TAB to desktop, or fast-travel. There's no crash fix.

I don't alt+tab nor do i realy fast travel, that's the thing.

I actualy never crash straight after a fast travel, as rare as they happen... (considering it costs you money or ressurces in Survival/Horizon)
