Making bridges?
So to all my settlement builders out there, what did you guys do take make "realistic" bridges? I am trying to make a junk town in sanctuary and I really don't want to have gravity defying bridges in the settlement. Here are some pictures I took so you can get an idea, the other thing to know is I kinda new to the whole modding thing on PC, and even though I use vortex I still get confused by the whole thing.

I would suggest stacking some concrete walls or the square foundations to make them look like pillars supporting the bridge. The foundations are not made to be stacked and are a little hard to line up. There is probably some trick to get them to line up. Four of the short concrete walls can make a smaller pillar than the big foundations.

Use a mod called Place Everywhere and create posts or pillars down from it to the ground so they don't look like they are "Gravity Defying"

if you use place everywhere, you won't be needing anything to support them to look realistic because you can rotate the whole thing at any angle to form a curve, piece by piece, making it into a real bridge. *I am not sure whether the navmesh is still ok after you join them together like that though so....

I love to build too, but I had to use Place Everywhere to get a good settlement going at Tenpines Bluff. Even had a good one at The Slog with the mod.

And Sunshine Tidings (too many trees though)

Oh, and I even put Mama Murphy to work in the Drug Store Stall. LOL

It looks like its night time in the background too so it isn't sunlight of any sorts.

It is not just bright, but with some weird colors, like some kind of filters or something. Nice mod for that effect.

LOL, Too many yard lights as well. It was almost full daylight at midnight there in Sunshine Tidings . . . but with a name like Sunshine, shouldn't it be bright?

^ This.

They are in the misc. section of the Warehouse/ Barns...

Warehouse sections come with the Contraptions DLC and Barns with the Far Harbor DLC.

The warehouse ones are steel and the barn ones are wood, you may need to use two full or a full and half section snapped together to reach the floor and you may need to snap the supports on before the railings, can not remember.

Another way is to make bridges with supports using the scaffolding pieces, they come with the Contraptions Workshop DLC.

Scaffolding is my choice, though I remember once having pieces snap so that they were touching some of those tall raider spikes when building a bridge over the water tanks at Warwick Homestead (I don't remember if it was before the DLCs, or just to give it a raider vibe).

For big, heavy-looking things (like massive concrete foundation rooves on the Sanctuary house), I've sometimes used the small concrete pillars added by the Wasteland Workshop.

Make sure she's not skimming the inventory! 😀

if you have the correct dlc you can build concrete, steel or wooden poles, but id recomend modding them in rather than buying those silly dlcs
