Need help on electricty in Vault 88
So I know I have to snap the vault conduits onto the wall so that the electricity flows through the walls and floors. Lights work just fine in some areas, but not in others. I just build the structure, and im pretty sure I connected the structures right, they are all snapped perfectly. However I still cant get electricity in one section of my Vault, even if I place the conduit. It works everywhere else, so im not sure whats wrong. Can anyone please help?

The conduits have to be within a certain range of each other to connect. Aside from that, the main generator may not have enough power. Try adding another generator.

The structures themselves don't actually radiate power. You'll still need to use a power conduit of some sort. The special vault interior wire connecters actually have a good radius, 3 tiles worth I believe, so a 6 tile diameter. You can also place these same connecters on the exterior of hallway pieces then you can run wires along the outside to keep them out of sight.

The tops of vaults are also a good place to make use of the conduits that came with the contraptions workshop. They fit in a smaller space and can provide lighting, wiring points and radiant power.

I know that with the range, but even if I aline a conduit on every wall, this one section doesnt have power. Im only using 2 electricity atm, so i doubt the generator doesnt have enough power lol. I can place one conduit on a wall which is far away from the generator and it works, but this one section doesnt get power no matter what i do. Its driving me crazy

Yeah problem is those power conduits dont work, no matter how much i snap them

For anyone wondering, here is a screenshot. The wall is a Prefab Atrium Corner, so its one piece of wall, but on one side the power works, but on the other not. It makes no sense to me. Im getting power in every other section, but this section doesnt get any. Idk whats wrong, I would be so grateful if anyone can add me and maybe help me.

Where exactly is this spot in the cavern? It might be because you're only running with the bike for power. I've done alot of building in vault 88 and never experienced this problem.

Im getting 250 Power, its to the right from the entrance, so its very close to the entrance, the bike isnt even powered btw cuz im not using it atm. I just tried placing a conduit on the other wall and connected it with a wire from the wall that gets power. Now the conduit emits power and lights are working on the wall where it didnt before. However I dont have that issue on the other sections. Like some rooms are completly far away and i can just place a conduit on a wall and it emits power without wires. So idk why this one section is so bugged that i need to wire it.

That sounds like that piece isn't properly connected for some reason. Try moving it around a bit. Vault pieces can do some weird things.

Worst case, and if you're just tired of dealing with it, run some wires on the outside to power it.

What I have occasionally run into is the parts sometimes fail to align perfectly its barely noticiable visually but enough it seems for the game to think they failed to connect on some pieces. I usually build 5x5 one story rooms with a power connecter snapped in the center of each wall and one in each corner that usually powers any radiant lights I have placed.

The most common issues I run into has to do with dorways I usually bypass this as mentioned above by simply running power wires ouside of the room along the top or wall.

Also some hall parts will actually let you snap a power conduit on the outside making it easy to jump power from a working room to the hall parts.

yeah i tried to rebuild wall parts etc. and nothing changes. Also I cant run wires outside because it doesnt snap on the back of Artium walls

I know that thing doesn't, but you can use regular wire connecters outside and run it to your closest corridor to get the power there. I do it all the time.

Here's the wire glitch in case you don't know. I try to set all my wire/power conduits on the outside of the vault. Try that if you didn't.

Hook something wired to the wall. Does this wired obeject have power?

There is a couple of tricks to connect power to the atrium parts from the outside the one pictured here as well as certan hall parts that do allow you to snap to the outside.

You can remove the door part once you place the part above it and it should still have a power connection to the rest of the atrium.

sometimes autosnap wont work properly and set vault parts micrometers out of place, ending in no connection for electricity flow. easyist to identify when you look at the floor parts, there u can see if the lines are a little of from the rest.
