How often do they give free creation club items?
I first cheked out the creation club a few months ago and spent the little free credits they gave me and got a couple free items that were 100% off. I just checked the creation club again and there were a few more items that were 100% off. How often do they add sales and give away free stuff?

occasionally they do additional items for free that may only be available for 1 day.

i can also confirm that you don't even need to download the updates to get the items for free.

the free items are also the same for both pc and xbox, so if you find a list of the items for xbox they should also be available on pc.

A lot when you're browsing around on Nexusmods.com

There is at least one free item almost all the time. The items change once a week, sometimes twice a week. Methinks this is to create a habit to check for whats free this week and maybe you will buy something. They cannot sell anything if you don't look. I have maybe 10 of the free things, but I still have my initial 100 free credits that I have not spent. :)

Yeah, they pretty much always have a free sample available in order to attract you to it, which is fair enough. They sometimes repeat previous items, so if you miss one, there's a chance it will turn up again.

Personally, I spent the hundred credits when they had an appropriate discount on one of the settlement packs.

They also can't sell people their crap if people perposly never get the creation club patch updates. As even with Steam's revocation of the 'never update option', there are ways around that when only launching the game with F4SE.

I spent my 100 on the T-Shirt collection, but yeah there's almost (I've checked in when there wasn't) always something for free. The best I've gotten so far was the Arcade mod which is admittedly fun. 90% armor/weapon skins which is 'meh' - I wouldn't pay for them, but I can undrstand why some people would.

Looks like they always repeat the previous items. They only have a small selection. I wanted the Minutemen paint jobs that I missed before, and it did repeat a couple of weeks ago.
So do not worry about whatever you might have missed. It will come again. But, the limited edition items? Who knows.

Nope. Not true. I use F4SE launcher and I have not updated in a while. The CC stuff is still there to get for free or to buy. Just click the link.

Agree. I like that you can make floors with wall-to-wall carpeting.

Question. For those who have spent their free 100 credits. Can you still 'buy' the free items if you have no credits to spend? I saw a rumor that said you can't. But I think that info is just a lie spread by the CC haters.
cwattyeso Jul 26, 2018 @ 7:38am
Free Items can be purchased and downloaded even if you don't have any credits currently in your account. Don't know where the idea you couldn't came from but it is definitely bollocks.

Not sure about the frequency. I have grabbed into double digits of CC freebies over the last year or so. The frequency of freebies is a good question though.

The availability of freebies suggests any costs incurred through developing items can be recovered quite quickly. Some items, as mentioned above, are free, then not free, then free again. Could be a number of reasons for this approach, including switching a previously free item back to paid, in order to facilitate providing a fresh item free for right out of the gate. The argument that Bethesda is using free items as a lure is less than persuasive.

What does all this mean for players who want free items? If past performance is an indicator of future behaviour, CC will continue to give stuff away for nothing. Worth keeping an eye on CC for that reason alone.

I decided to check again because of what you said and there were two more free items. I guess they changed their free stuff between now and when I made this topic.

How it it not true? The game doesn't update if you have those options set and only use F4SE to boot the game. You even say that you haven't updated in a while. So how is it not true?
