Especially if you use wood to build walls, then tear down the walls to get some wood back to make walls.
Hey, can I break weapons and armor in other stuff such as crafting materials like these?
Also, if I store stuff in those work benches, will they eventually disapear? Or are they safe to use?
Wowwww build walls?? Really??
You don't need to forget quests, just plan carefully based on where they send you.
As for building in Sanctuary (or any settlement), you can break down almost anything into raw materials while in Settlement mode, so getting steel, wood, fabric, etc is pretty easy if you go through some of the abandoned houses just scrapping things.
And you can scrap armor and weapons for materials, the scrapper perk helps with rare stuff from doing so.
There are two buildings with interiors near the museum that have good loot and supplies to bring back to sanctuary. And a couple of the open houses have safes and loot as well.
Watch out for grenades.
So thats where you come in. The raiders you first engage in Concord are probably the preliminary scouts (about 15 of them). Once you get the power armor and go outside you actually fight Gristle and the escort crew (about 15 of them). So you actually end up killing like a fourth to one half of the entire radier force from Corvega.
Anyways, if you want tips. Yeah, just ignore it for now if you want, but you also have power armor, take your minigun and find the secret sewer entrence, it has way less enemies and you can fight from the inside out.
The sewer entrence is on the outskirts of Lexington on the perimiter of Corvega Plant
Also get a level in gun nut and make sure you have a silencer - there's no downside to silencing every weapon you can get ahold of.
And alway use a upgraded improwapon at beginning, with some upgrade it makes nearly same dmg like the 10 mm pistol, but you have much more ammunition for it as every low lv raider give you some form it.
