First of all, what kind of internet connection is that? Took me less than an hour with 100/100.
If you can, I strongly suggest that you upgrade your connection.
Second, even with all the DLC installed the game is about 40 gb for me. Large games sometimes compress themselves when they've finished downloading. Once all is said and done you should be at half of the download size as well.

Thankfully this game can be played offline. So... when it's finally done flip steam to offline mode so that the poor connection doesn't interfere.

Don't. You won't see a difference unless you're playing in 4k and F4's optimization isn't that great to begin with. You should just get a couple of texture mods from nexus, they will look better and cost less performance.

Texture packs from nexus will still be superior because they actually add new high quality textures instead of just upscaling the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ original ones.

lol texture mods are like the easiest mods to set up and very unlikely to mess up your game. the bethesda high res textures are crap and not worth the download or file size.
