Is there any way to turn off night-vision while sneaking?

I don't remember what perk provides the night vision effect, and sometimes it is helpful... but there are also times when it makes it very hard to see.

Also, sometimes my flashlight just doesn't work. Any idea why that might be?

The Night Person perk gives it while sneaking. So no theres no way to turn it off unfortunately without using console commands to remove the perk from your character.

And normally holding TAB turns on your pipboy light. Maybe some game hiccup interrupts it sometimes? Just try it again.

There is a mod for everything, but jeah i usaly simply dont take that Perk..

Flashlight not working is probably because oyu are in power armor with no helmet, it disables it even if you are using weapon mods that have the light on the gun

Thanks for the answer on the Night Person perk!

I figured out the flashlight thing. I'm using a mod that adds the veteran ranger armor from fallout NV. Wearing the mask part of the helmet prevents the flashlight from shining, for some reason.
