Not sure what Morrowind has to do with this...
You basically want a mod that says "Do not kill that NPC" instead of understanding that is the purpose to making them essential.
Essential NPCs are essential for a reason. They are necessary to a quest line and killing them breaks the quest lines.
The OP does not understand the essential flag is the new mechanic instead of having a constant scripting running in the background of what possible future quests you may fail by killing NPCs.

So again, what are you trying to achieve? permanent death or just an indicator that you ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up?
If you just want to kill them, I think there are mods for that. If you want to know that you ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up and can't proceed, I don't that exists.
But like ut said, it may cause weirder results than back in Morrowind, given that the possibility of them being dead is no longer accommodated by the game. I'd hope any such mod at least makes them Protected instead of Essential, so that it's not a case of random deaths messing things up, which is one of the reasons for having these states in the first place.
