Although now that I think of it, didn't the UN itself go under in Fallout universe, prior to kaboom? If that is the case was there enough time before the kaboom to remove previous traces of it?
Pretty sure the UN did not exist anymore. US and China went to war in 2066 and the bombs fell in Oct 2077.

Fallout 76 had Chinese robots and a Chinese spy facility. Of course later we find out the Enclave was producing the robots to kill off the surface population.

What happened to China? Well lets just say the Corona Virus is the least of their worries.

There was a thread here a few weeks ago hoping that the next fallout game be set in china. What's that saying? Be careful what you wish for, because you just might get it.

Yea, and that doesn't even more fatal than American FEV or American Flu.
I'm not sorry
Ok everybody, let's try not to get drawn into any kind of callous or racist discussion about actual current events. Actual real people are dying in Wuhan. Those people are mothers and fathers and brothers and sisters and daughters and sons.

I just know the Chinese people call some fallout dog“妖怪”in this game。but what is “妖怪”in English I don’t konw,, because,I‘m中国人:steamhappy::palette:
If those characters mean the same thing as they do in Japanese, then:

Yōkai are a class of supernatural monsters, spirits, and demons in Japanese folklore. The word yōkai is made up of the kanji for "bewitching; attractive; calamity" and "spectre; apparition; mystery; suspicious." They can also be called ayakashi, mononoke or mamono.
So if you translated that back to an English name for a dog it would be something like "Spirit" or "Ghost", or less commonly something like "Demon" or "Warlock" or maybe "Hellhound".

Yes, 妖怪 basically means the same thing in Japanese, too. Actually "妖怪" is a Chinese-origin term which is borrowed by Japanese later in medievall period, and of course it's also written in Chinese characters(漢字) as you can see. Such term is called "Sino-Japanese vocabulary(漢語訓讀)" in Japanese.

Usually 妖怪 is simply translated as "Monster", "Demonic Monster", "Demonic Ghost" ...etc in English by we Chinese, it's not merely ghost, devil or demons, but often with demonic, evil, monstrous, spiritual and super natural features.

And 妖怪 in Fallout universe is not dog but "Mutated Bear", which is exactly called "Yao Guai" in games.
https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Yao_guai

妖怪 = "YaoGuai"(Chinese pronunciation), "YoKai(Japanese pronunciation). See the correlation?

Yes, that's exactly what I want to say. In the game, there is a kind of creature named by the Chinese people, that's the YaoGuai. Because I play the Chinese version, I don't know if it's the YaoGuai in the English version, I thought it was the hellhound or something,I wrote it myself before, I feel it's very bad, so now I use translation software to translate my sentences,I just want you to understand what I mean
Really interesting to know! Thank you both.

I can also see my misunderstanding: you were not talking about the dog, Dogmeat. You are talking about the bear animals in Fallout: the Yao Guai bears.

In English we also have the famous cartoon character, Yogi Bear, from cartoons in around the 1950s. In turn, Yogi Bear is partly based on Yogi Berra, a real baseball player from I think the 1940s
