How to remove Romance with McCready?

Trying to undo the romance with him without using console commands. I've tried using chems but dont't see any messages of dislikes by him.

the simple solution was to not pursue the romance dialogue lines in the first place.

Not sure if there is any non console command fix for this issue as you litterally will have to do the horrific things he dislikes and hope that somehow that stat drops low enough he decides to ditch you forever. Would be simpler to just dismiss him and use another follower.

Try this:

Drop to very hard then use this console command:
2a8a7.setav CA_affinity X
X = 1-1100

You will have to find the console command to re-enable survival. It exist I just cant remember it, I should have copied it to my notepad.

I think you just don't get notifications if you do something that don't like after romance has begun. You should be able to check your affinity with console or maybe with Cheat Terminal to see if ignoring them/stealing etc. is working. Just look up his major dislikes.
