would you be willing to email me a copy of MF 2.0?
as MF 2.6.1 has many attributes removed
For FO4 Hotkeys, these are the updated scripts:
I wouldn't switch to the new 2.6.2 if I were you. I updated and now I've lost 50% of the weapons I had before. Seems like all the cool modern weapons are replaced by lame Bethesda vanilla weapons, Half the weapons that are supposed to be added by the mod are missing the graphic of the weapon and when you get in third person the weapon doesn't even show up on the toon. It fires but mostly locks up the game if you do fire the invisible weapon.
Not really liking what has happened to a once great mod.
Additionally, if you have any patches between MF and other mods, you need to remove them. No patches are currently compatible with 2.6.x as none have been updated yet. Having incompatible patches installed with 2.6.x will cause the mod to break, because the patches will be referencing old data that is no longer in the mod.
Also, before assuming things, you should really search around for more information, before spreading misinformation.
You either didn't follow the clean save instructions properly, or you're missing a patch lower in your load order that you forgot you have installed.
Fire up FO4Edit, load **everything** that's after the Modern Firearms.ESP plugin including MF itself, then open up the MF .ESP and start looking for conflicts.
Also, if you haven't already, triple-check your Data folder for any loose files from previous versions. Check Materials, Meshes, Sounds and Textures for any folders named "SHEEP". if you see any, delete them.
Then I closed Nexus and reopened it because sometimes it doesn't refresh correctly, opened Loot and checked the order of the mods. Then restarted Fallout 4. I got a message when entering the game that MF were available at vendors, made the attachment dongles at the chem lab.
Still seeing a lot of weapons not showing up in my inventory in other words the thumbnail of the gun is not there. but its in the inventory,
When I go to the weapon station the same weapons have no graphic there as well but I can mod them.
When I try to equip them my hands are empty, I can shoot them but it then causes a crash.
If you ain't got any patches, then you must have the super old and outdated MF installed from the in-game BethNet mod service which would be conflicting with the external MF 2.6.2. And if that ain't it, then your game install is just utterly f***ed and you need to start over from scratch. Salt the earth, as it were.
They have current version for X-box, but PC version hasn't been updated since it was last uploaded, it seems.
If we did, it would be of lower quality because we would have to do the same thing we do for Xbox uploads. Downsize ALL textures to a maximum of 1K res and a minimum of 512 res, alongside super-compressing the archives. Which means a significant drop in quality that is very easily seen on PCs, but nearly not noticeable on Xbox, not even on the Xbone X. Besides, BethNet is a sh*te mod service and has constant issues plaguing it. Anything from downloads simply failing to succeed, to the mod service saying you are missing required files to download the mod, when the mod requires no other mods or files to begin with.
By hosting on our own site and using GitHub for downloads, there's no size restriction and WE control the file and pages. No BethNet moderator f*ckery with them updating page info if they feel like f*cking with the mod page (which they have done in the past, such as setting mod dependencies on our mods without asking us first), no pis*y users reporting the mod to be di*ks to get it taken down, or uneducated users using the report button thinking it'll magically submit a bug report and therefore resulting in an "erroneous" takedown, etc.
There are lots of reasons to NOT host MF on PC BethNet, and zero reasons why we should.
Edit: Even if we did decide to upload a downsized version to PC BethNet, it would be obsolete and impossible to update in the near future anyways. MF is slowly growing in content, which also means growing in file size, and there is only so much that downsizing textures can do before we can't do anything more. So at some point, the mod literally will not be able to fit on BethNet anymore. When that happens, Xbox support stops, and so would PC BethNet if we ever uploaded it to PC BethNet again. It would be a futile and pointless effort to begin with. PC users have a plethora of options for getting mods. Xbox users have one option, unfortunately. And while there are at least a couple ways to get around the size restriction on BethNet, none of them are worth the effort it would take to make it work.
