USAF Olivia- killed all the raiders, but it isn't completing the quest?
So I got the request from the people at Abernathy farm to kill the raiders at the USAF Olivia, which I did. Yet the quest isn't completed? And furthermore, when I click "Show on map" for that specific quest, there's no marker, and sometimes it'll just show me where I am on the map currently.

I don't have any mods on my game. Is there something I can do about this? I'm a bit of a completionist, and i'd like to finish this quest.

you get the locket/necklace for return to Abernathy's

As the other two said, you need to kill the ones down inside the bunker (there's a psyco raider with a minigun down there) and locate the locket to bring back to the Abernathy farm.

the abernathys dont ask to kill the raiders, the prime goal is to get the locket and bring it back

It's one of the nice quests where if you've already done it and have the locket, you can just hand it straight to the Abernathys, instead of the locket only being available once the quest begins.
That's a rather lame coincidence, that you get a radiant quest from the Abernathys, and it's the same faction at the same location as the original locket quest. You would think the game would try and prevent repeats of scripted quests being duplicated by random radiant quests. But I guess not.

I assume the radiant one doesn't ask you to get the locket like Returning the Favour, it just happens to be the same location. I can't remember if I've ever had that specific combination of settlement and radiant quest though.

I agree the game should at least use up all locations that havn't been activated yet before it starts doing repeats at the same place, would make the minuteman missions way more fun to do

If I may pop in with a reminder, from a personal mistake/experience: if you are running a Radiant Quest that is a "rescue a kidnapped hostage" type - don't just shoot everything you see as soon as you see it lol - I once had to rescue a Settler that was kidnapped and was sneaking around the Raiders and sniping them from a distance. I saw a head poking out over a couch - someone sitting on it - and popped the top of it with my silenced pistol. It was the head of the hostage and they were kneeling in front of the couch. It should tell you "quest failed" in that case, but it might not pop up, leaving you running around not knowing if anything is 'done' or not (until you Loot everything and it says "Settler").

In another 'buggy' manner, it is possible a Raider spawned in a wall or something (when the goal is to 'kill all the enemies'), and then you might not be able to see each other. In those cases, possibly the only thing to do (if you want to complete the quest) is to reload an earlier Save and start it again, sadly.

I would go and do some other quests for a few days to give the place a chance to respawn and then go back. Might be missing the trigger NPC.

Trapped enemies can sometimes get free if you go through a loading door while they're actively hostile, or by sleeping/waiting either outside their area or (sometimes) in it.

If you are lucky enough to have the Penetrator perk, it can be used to kill enemies inside a wall if you manage to target them in VATS. Without VATS targeting, rank 4 of Big Leagues can allow melee weapons to hit them if you can get close enough and explosives can sometimes reach them (I've had the most luck with molotov cocktails in this regard).
