Jacq's Holotape a Red Herring?

I searched every square inch of Sedgewick Hall for this "key" (I assumed it wasn't literally a key) and found nothing. The fandom page brevity, with no notable entries, would seem to support my suspicion that whatever she was looking for is no longer there, leading seekers on a wild goose chase.

According to Gamepedia ....Jacq's holotape is a holotape in Fallout 4. Can be ejected from Jacq's Terminal in Sedgwick Hall's second floor of the lobby.

you find the key by going up left staircase , go straight ahead into a ''storeroom '' . you now see a
cash register on a counter . the key is under the shelf somewhere there (the counter is u shaped)
the second way to in is to either go take same stairs , go up the metal ladder on the left , then keep going left until you came to a computer terminal , which will open the door on the left . if you can;t hack the computer . there is an elevator immediately behind the computer . dropping thru that gives access to the rest of the building

I guess I hadn't searched as thoroughly as I'd thought, but I had managed to access the whole building, thus clearing it out. I'll have to return to Sedgewick Hall later to see about that key, just for craps 'n' giggles.

What she was looking for was information about a pre-war research project, she found information about it just before she was killed, on the terminal at the back of Sedgewick Hall in the Mirelurk infested area past the barricade. The research project itself is in the Credit Union building.

Maybe I'll get around to checking it out. Some of those locations are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ CONFUSING rabbit-warrens, and not worth the effort. Why take elaborate steps to hide something that's of little to no practical value? Stupid. It discourages exploration and thinking outside the box.
