Steamer Trunk = Ok to Store Items temporarily?
Just wondering if it is "ok" to store/leave items in the Steamer Trunks (the ones 'at the end of an area', or 'as a reward', etc; not self-built Workshop ones) - I just want to leave a bunch of things in there till I come back this way again and never really left anything in these 'special' containers before... Does anyone know if it's 'safe' or if things will "disappear" after a while, or if I Clear this area again?

Thanks

no, all other containers are going to respawn

If you're overloaded, you can drop some items into it and return for it later, But those containers will respawn (1 ingame week?) and delete and previous items in them.

Ah, ok thanks you two - I realized it was probably different than the Crafted containers, but I wasn't sure if it was 'dangerous' or not.
I was just testing it, leaving something in there, but now I'll go get it soon for sure then lol

Thanks again, pancakes for yous :os_pancakes: :os_pancakes:

I've always meant to test persistent corpses for safe storage. There's a Brahmin corpse at Bedford Station, for example, that never yields fresh meat after initially harvesting the meat. I have often wondered if this corspe would be safe for storage.

I've also thought the same about cleared areas where enemies don't respawn - say Fort Hagen and the vault linked off Park Street Station. I've ventured back into both areas, long after clearing them and I'm pretty sure the container contents I'd looted hadn't respawned. The corpses in Park Street Station hadn't disappeared either. Maybe these areas are safe for storage?

Work stations scattered across the Commonwealth might also be safe to store items. Pretty sure I've seen comments along those lines. Those in Diamond City seem to hold junk without it ever disappearing.

I also have thought of testing Corpses off and on but never remember of course :Rubber_Duck:

Yes, Work Stations seem to work - I can't remember how long in-game it's been, to be exact, but I've left things in Diamond City too, as well as a couple out in the world (one of those little alcove garages in Downtown, etc) - and I've gone back much later to find the stuff still in there to work with. It's good if it was intended, I will look forward to that in my Survival Mode game I started...

The only steamer trunk I know of that will have safe storing is the one is Nuka World at the fizztop grille

Or at an empty settlement if ya decide to build one at it
