'Stand' to place a Turret on?
Just wondering if there is any type of 'stand' or table, etc that it is possible to place a Turret on.

The reason why is, I have a Guard Post on a bit of a small hill, on the edge of Abernathy Farm, and I'd like to place a Turret there. However, it is just a bit too small to see over the fence that is next to the Guard Post. So, I would seem to need a 'half height' table/container of some sort, to place the Turret on, so that it can see over everything - without having to build an entire 2x2 'square' floor/foundation, etc.

I tried to place a Turret on top of a Table, some small shelves, even a Fire Bin - but nothing seems to support it... I know this is a bit of an issue in Fallout 3D games anyway (placing things on tables, etc) but was wondering if anyone knew of something that could support a Turret.

If not, it's not a huge deal I suppose, I'll just put a floor/foundation down. Just wondering if anyone knew of something...smaller.

Thanks for any ideas

Edit:
I went into the Scaffold category, and found that burying the legs of a simple scaffold 'as much as desired' seemed to work perfectly! I'm not sure if this is exactly what you meant MortVent, but thank you for the guidance towards the solution to my little quandary!
My result looks like this (not the prettiest but I was just placing a lot of Walls [which I normally don't use] and experimenting with things, heh):

You can build gun towers with a 1x1 wood platform on top of the scaffolding

There are several height options and types.

I often do it anyway with them so they are harder to attack

Here is a turret stand you could try: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/21342

Also you can use smaller bubble turrets like these and see if that works better: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/11189

Or use the place everywhere mod and place the turret where you want and even partially in the ground if you want but it probably won't look as nice: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9424

Thanks for your input, you two!

I'm sorry, I did not state that I would like to find something without utilizing Mods. Thanks, though Chompman...

I did not try Scaffolding actually, I tried Wood and Concrete and looked in the Warehouse, too - but thought I'd ask after looking through all the Misc's, as there didn't seem to be anything - I'll try that, thanks!

You can also use console commands to move its position wherever you like with one catch, If it is a wired turret, The wiring will not follow the turret after you move it.

Hehe sorry, these are great though - and will help others looking for similar ideas!

I like your 'platform directly over a Guard Post'... I'd call it "The Bus Shack" layout hah

Interesting... I'm a little scared to mess with the code this way [personally]; I always worry that the game will sputter and spit up food on my Save Game, as the game is a bit "finicky" on its' own already - but thanks for the idea/input!

Just save first, Regardless of the command. Your right though, If your not careful you can seriously mess up the game.

You can make some really cool symetrical things using the codes though:

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=633329807 - round building with square foundation blocks

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1288230339 - sunken in perfect walls, Turret coves on the roofs, All console.
