Carrington Prototype Bug

Just thought I'd post this to inform anyone experiencing this during the Tradecraft mission:

One of the objectives, Procure Carrington's Prototype, apparently doesn't register when you complete it—at least, the Data screen in your Pip-Boy might not show it checked off when you pick up the item, and a false objective marker will still appear on your Pip-Boy's map. Ignore it.

Meet Deacon at the church, and talk to the scientist with the attitude problem. The mission will successfully finish despite the bug.

Thank you for this - many years on I had the exact issue and was umming and aaahing about needing to go back a few saves and re-do the whole mission. You were completely right!
