Kid In A Fridge *GLITCH* Bullet won't die
So, I ran across this quest earlier tonight, found out about the "sell him and kill Bullet" strategy for extra caps, and tried to do it. Funny thing happened. Can ya guess? I suppose you don't need to, since it's the title of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ subject. No, Bullet is not set to essential, or invulnerable, or anything of that sort. In fact I can turn him being essential on and off just fine (as far as Better Console - F4SE is telling me), but for some reason he just won't cease to be. I spent an hour scratching my head over this and now I have to sleep. I don't have time to figure this crap out <.<

Did the option from Skyrim carry over? Where you open the console, click on the mob, then type /kill.

The Console Command "Kill" is one of the first things I tried. I also tried doing before and after setting him to essential myself, and then again after turning essential off again. Still nothing.

Ugh, and you cant just disable him becuase that wont give you credit.

Unless you disable and use a console command to advance the quest.

I have never seen a mob become invulnerbale before, nor anyone posting mobs became invulnerable.

The only other thing I can think of is it is invulnerable until a certain stage is reached?

The good thing is becaus ethe quest is not finished you could try jumping back to previous stages?

Not sure which stage to jump back to because they are all out of order and looks like there is 3 different endings.

Actually, I jumped back to the first stage of the quest by reloading a convenient autosave just to be able to sell the kid and then kill Bullet for the extra cash. I got Billy to his parents without incident, there was some guy outside demanding them for some reason I didn't understand, and the dialog camera glitched out and didn't show his face, so I reloaded my most recent aforementioned convenient autosave at the start of the quest and looked up how Bullet was supposed to be encountered the first time. Now I'm here. :\

Yeah Bullet is supposed to have tracked you to the Peabody house.

I think Bullet had some sort of invulnerability shield while delivering a dialogue, then after the dialogue is delivered it is removed. Somehow you got it out of order the first time I guess.

I just shot him when he started following me, without talking to him. Didn't like the idea of being followed while trying to get the kid home.

That makes the most sense out of anything I've heard or come up with. In any case, I decided to try reloading the same save at the start of the quest and the whole thing went off like it was supposed to without a glitch. I think I'm gonna be scratching my head on what happened for a while, but I guess consider this case closed?

Yep, yeah most people dont realize that the game does have "invulnerability frames" even for the player. It is one of those advanced concepts that onyl people able to read the papyrus scripting stuff know about.

So yeah jsut write it off as a rare bad script processing I guess.
