"The Devil's Due" quest...

I like this one. You go inside a museum to retrieve a stolen Deathclaw egg. There's a fully grown Deathclaw guarding the egg and I had to kill it to progress (the part where the Deathclaw was making noises upstairs was creepy as ♥♥♥♥. Even got jumpscared by a falling corpse, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Bethesda!). Then you had a choice of either delivering the egg or returning it to its nest. Being the nice guy that I am, I decided to bring it back to its mother. She was apparently waiting for me and didn't even attack me when I got there. I put it back in the nest and the momma Deathclaw dug it safe inside. She was not the only one who was happy.

Wasn't the first time I got the perogies scared out of me.

Interestingly enough, sometimes I find them almost as unexpected allies in a fight as long as I don't get too close.
They're fearsome up close and timid when disadvantaged.
These deathclaws behave so differently from those I've encounted in prevoius games.

If your interested you can take the egg back, may have to fight that deathclaw, then try giving the ruined egg to Wellingham. His comments when you do that are kind of amusing.
