Having said that, I would resurrect him personally as I don't like settler family members dying on me randomly.
None of the Finch NPCs are flagged for essential/protected. The same way the ones at The Slog are not.
Ick, Brut always reminded me of spiced sweet tea that had sat out in the sun for too long and had started to ferment, and not in a good way. Also, most guys I knew who wore it thought "splash it on" meant "bathe in it for five hours".
No wonder Lucy hated the boy, hypothetically-speaking.
I'm old enough to remember the 70's TV advert. lol. "Brut... it won't let you down". :)
Oh ok, my bad. :)
Basically what happens is once their script ends (because they died) they wont restart it. Someone usually says "resetai" well there is no script to reset to, lol. So usually what happens is you can bring the NPC back, but it pretty much just stands there and does nothing.
However what you can do is make yourself a BAT file and run it, so you next game it automatically gives protected status to the NPCs before you ever meet them.
