Any way to get Power Armor upgrades without Science & Armorer?
Basically I'm playing a Charisma + Luck build and wanted to finally use some Power Armors since i never used them much. But nearly all the upgrades require either Science, Armorer or both.

Having nearly no Intelligence to increase the chance of Idiot Savant triggering, is there a way to overpass these requirements by maybe buying it or finding the parts scattered around the map the same way some weapons parts are?

The only upgrades you will find on PA peices you find are the A, B, C, D, E, F upgrades or Mk I, II, III, IV, V, VI for X-01...

Doing the Brotherhood missions means you can get some PA pieces as rewards and they have certain upgrades on

eg A chest section with Core Assembly on it.

But only for T-60 pieces.

You will not get a full set fully upgraded (or even half upgraded) though with just the pieces you find/ get as rewards and not all the choices on the Misc upgrades which you will only get for the T-60 pieces from the Brotherhood.

Teagan or The Atom Cats may sell PA upgrade schematics.. Dont Know. As I always run with Science and Armourer eventually, especially when running a build that use PA. So never noticed as I didn't need them.

At higher levels (like level 50+) you can find some better parts. IIRC the power armored Gunners in the Quincy ruins had some good parts. Occasionally you'll get some good pieces off the power armored Raiders as well.

However, if you want that fully kitted out Enclave armor (X-01), then you'll need to level up Armor and Science. If you're doing a Cha build you'll probably want Science for the settlement building too. I haven't really used PA much myself (running an unarmed build, so PA is the enemy), other than exploring high RAD areas.

Rowdy (of the Atom Cats) does sell a range of specific PA upgrades. They're not exactly described as schematics, but as mods of a special type that does work like a schematic in that you can apply it without it being consumed if you keep it in the workbench (it appears under mods in your inventory and superficially looks like a regular mod part). She sells a more typical schematic for the Atom Cats paintjob.

I've seen her sell mods for T-45, T-51, and T-60 sets, but not for X-01 or raider power armour. Specifically, Hydraulic Bracers, Overdrive Servos, and Titanium Plating for T45; Calibrated Shocks,Core Assembly, Emergency Protocols, Lead Plating, Optimized Servos, abdVATS Matrix Overlay for T-51; and Explosive Vent, Kinetic Dynamo, Medic Pump, Photovoltaic Coating, Prism Shielding, Rad Scrubbers, Reactive Plates, and Sensor Array for T-60.

The Quantum X-01 in Nuka World is level V, and the paint gives it higher AP refresh speed.

Yep, I thought she may but couldn't be positive as I said.

idiot savant is nice and all but the real boon of XP is crafting, particularly chemist and jet fuel.

You can also get a full set of legendary max rank X-01 Power Armor in Nuka-World.

Having low Intelligence just to get Idiot Savant triggered more often is just dumb imo, i always go up to 7 or 8 ( up to if i use Chems more frequently ) Intelligence and Idiot Savant still triggers at a decent Rate that i gave up counting, and to be honest putting 2 Points into Strength to have Armorer shouldn't hurt.

you also need armorer for ballastic weave for the non pa people

They actually do let you build more of them, and they don't even cost materials to build, but they're still sorted as mods, they look identical to "normal" PA mods in the list, and I think you have to place them in the workbench or something like that instead of holding them yourself (I forget exactly, since I haven't played around with them in a bit).
