What's the console command to show item ID?
There used to be a command where you could drop an item, click on it, and then put in like.
" TCM(Just an example, but it was short like this "
And then the item ID would pop up and you could player.additem.

And no, I'm not talking about the " Help " command.

Not sure if Fallout 4 has that but it does have GetPlayerGrabbedRef, where it'll give you the ID of something you're holding.

If you drop an item, open the console, and click on the item - the item code is displayed automatically.

Actually that is the item reference not the base ID needed for the additem command. Same with the "GetPlayerGrabbedRef" command.

I believe what the op is looking for is the command "GetBaseObject" that shows the actual base id needed for the additem command but I do not think it is available through the console in fallout 4.

There is a command PCA that pops up the reference id of the neareast actor however you would need the base form ID of an ittem for the additem command there is only two ways I am familier with to get that.

1) Place the item in inventory on an actor then use the "showinventory" command.
2) The help command formatted as "help (item name or part of it) 4 (type of item such as weap, ammo, misc, NPC_ etc.)

The command I'm talking about is much simpler, it might be a script extender thing.

In past games the command was GetBaseObject or GBO prior to skyrim script extender was required but as I said I do not think it will work in the Fallout 4 console. The easiest way without having to use the help command would be to put it in a container and run the showinventory command on that container.

Yes, GBO was what I was looking for, it's a shame it doesn't work anymore.

You can always give it a try it might just be my game that it failed to work with I am sure we all know by now how strange Fallout 4 can act.

I just drop an item in a container and use "inv" on it to get its base ID...

Help fusion 4

Will list everything fusion, Base ID included.

Just change fusion out for whatever you are looking for.

You could also just install this:

I know this is a Necro

But I want to say this Suggestion 100% Works -

I just tested it and works perfectly.
Most of the other stuff on the web gives the wrong answers - so if anyone else is looking for item codes for Modded items - this guy has the answer!
so can you please share the object ID of the parts of Recon Marine armor set?
