I'm on PC. What console option would fix this ? I really wanted to play without ''cheating'' but it's not leaving my any choice apparently.
I get the not wanting to cheat idea. But, with some bugs, it's just not worth the arguement.
A way to try resolving it without console commands would be create an exit save, exit the game, then reload from the exit save. This can be said for many other issues. However using the consoel is so much quicker, lol.
I usually encountered this bug after carrying objects around by holding the A button down on the controller.
If not, the game is possessed, like some many fine Bethesda products. Love them, but they are like juggling rabid chihuahas sometimes.
Actually, when I exited the building the first time, the bar stayed lifted up, no issue. But as soon as I quicktravel to another place and come back to it, the bar are downed again, and I cannot interact with them.
Wich mean this area in the Kendall Hopistal cannot be accessed or I'm stuck in it. Next time I go in there I'll use the console to correct the glitch. I'm not gonna spend more time on this area, that I actually hated.
I may try the exit save solution later on.
I have completed that quest already. (the railroad related quest) I just went back-in to collect stuff I let there.
I'll give it a try if I come to the location. I hated this level so much that I dont want to even go near it again. If it does not work, I'll use the console.
Thanks people !!
smh tod
Mostly true. You don't have to touch the bar as you can shoot them open or use a grenade; this works even from the wrong side of some of the doors. You can order followers to open chained doors even from outside, as long as you can target the chain through something like a window. They magically reach through the door and remove the chain. Might work for bars as well. But that doesn't change the fact that the bars do indeed bug out occasionally and can not be reopened.
Also, this thread died 6 years ago. You didn't need to resurrect it.
