How to scrap weapons & armour with contraptions dlc.

Is there a way to scrap armour and weapons with the aid of contraptions workshop dlc or a mod like manufacturing extended? The recycler is not scrapping them.

To get extra from them or to simply scrap them? Because you can scrap weapons and armour in the relevant station or you can simply drop it on the ground and mouse over it in workshop mode and you will be given the option of scrapping it.

Yes, I know. But I want to use a machine.

If the recycler machine won't do it, then I would say no. That would be the only machine that I can think of that will scrap those items in an automated way. Maybe look for a patch or something that can go with Workshop Extended, and see if someone made an addition to allow this. I haven't looked into this for awhile, so I haven't seen anything relevant.
