Nexus Mod Manager is being very slow

I'm having a real problem with Nexus being so slow and laggy that I cannot click on mods to install them.

I should emphasize: I am NOT having a problem with download speeds. I am NOT talking about starting the game. I am specifically talking about attempting to click on Nexus Mod Manager itself in order to activate mods that I have installed, and the time it takes for NNM to actually activate ranges from "several seconds" to "freezes up."

Can anyone help me?

You should get Vortex. its literally the new NMM and works much better

I just logged in to say that I had checked out Vortex. You are both ABSOLUTELY correct. It's a lot better in every possible way!

...Now I just have to wait for F4SE to update again... might as well look into some other moddable games while I wait. Maybe Skyrim...
