Wish i started nuka world sooner
Seriously i've been using "Combat rifle" and "Combat shotgun" for the last 180 hours. The most generic/bland guns i think i've ever seen implemented into a video game. This is what has been really bothering me about fallout4. Of course they take the time to make every outfit known to man, but the weapons are the worst i've ever seen in a shooter game in my entire life. Seriously what is an apocalyptic shooter without an AK?

After going to nuka world and finding Ak47's, AkSU, SKS, SVD rifles.. THIS IS WHAT THE MAIN GAME HAS BEEN LACKING!

Nuka world really should have been infused into the main game, those weapons should have been vanilla. I am so mad i did not know about this.

Now when i leave this nuka world, will the main game now have enemies carrying nuka world weapons? Or will i have to travle back to nuka world to restock on 7.62MM rounds

Nuka world is impressive, nuka world alone is better than fallout76

I found it very hard to find 7.62 in the commonwealth, There is a mod called manufacturing extended, Which expands on the contraptions workshop DLC and includes ways to produce 7.62.

My guess if you are not constantly returning to NW 7.62 will be quite scarce.

Everything is better than FO76.

I agree, those guns are somewhat bland. Try downloading, say, the Defense Gun mod. Should get more mileage out of pipe guns - and satisfy all of your PPSh lust.

There is also a mod, which I got from the Nexus, that adds the Nuka World and Far Habour common weapons (and ammo) into the main game.

Adds into the level lists so Raiders will wield the various versions of the Handmade Rifle.

Not seen such enemies use the Radium Rifle, Wester Revolver and Lever Action Rifle so far however.

Anyways, said weapons and their respective unique ammo types (7.62mm & .45-70 gov't) will also be available to purchase from vendors.

I wish there was a mod that would merge .308 & 7.62 ammo. (im not that talented) The fact that they both exist ingame is my biggest pet peeve on FO4.

7.62x25 or 7.62x39 or 7.62x51 or 7.62x54r

Only one of those is a .308 equivilent, And its never specified in F4 which length the 7.62 is.

There are valid reasons for the two calibers.

Same with .223 and 5.56 in real life.

Besides, The game has far worse glaring inconsistencies:

Don't get me started on the .45 combat rifle. Somebody virtually randomly rearranged the ammo types at the last second.

Combat shotgun and the rifle are pretty much the same meshes and textures in game.

It literally looks they were originally one gun with plenty of mod attachments, That were branched into two seperate weapons.

I honestly feel vanilla rifles and shotguns were lacking.

never really use the nuka world guns. really there is plenty of ammo, and once you find a good modded gun you'll stick with it most of the game. Just this current playthrough it was still the 10mm and double barrel shotgun for quite a while, some basic mods on them lasted a long time until i found a kneecapper 10mm and kneecapper 45 automatic, which are my basic weapons now., along with a 2 shot sniper rifle and the double shot fatman from diamond city. Don't even use the fatman now, weapon damage is so high can kill anything without it.

Those will last the whole game with no problems, unless you find the king of weapons, a wounding gun of some sort that really just makes the game way to easy on any difficulty.

Lets not forget that every weapon in the game apart for a few weapons. Are all left handed weapons in a world of only right handed people. Not to metion all the weapons from previous games do not exist. And it does not help that the only weapon that fires 50 Cal is either made from pipe fixtures or is a Hunting rifle that looks ridiculas. Also the fact that there is only one weapon, ONE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ WEAPON that uses 5.56mm and its massive. Its no infantry weapon, its just a blant disgregard for the dynamics and quality that is modern weapon design.

Yeah! And the game takes hundreds of hours, too! And the synth components aren't even overclocked transistor circuits!

And robot repair kits are just magic wands!

Either way, once I was able to overcome chem addiction, I found that no matter what weapon I chose, I was able to have a good time.

Seconded on the weird power armour-sized assault rifle, but don't bash the hunting rifle.
