Vault 81 short stories quest can't continue

I'm not having the same common issue where you just can't start the quest after completing the main vault 88 quest. For me I get it started but the kids never actually enter the classroom and at the time class is supposed to start the teacher is just talking to nothing...The kids are out roaming the vault or in their rooms and won't talk to me. Any fix for that?

I have tried the quest reset commands as well with no progress.

Yeah thats where i saw the reset commands. They didnt help the class to start. For me the kids simply never start class. I waited in there for a day (ingame im not that crazy) listening to pipboy music to see if class would ever start.

Late reply but I always forget and miss this one.
Solution is select austin in console and stand next to the teachers desk. Type "moveto player" in console, do the same for katy.
You may need to also type "resetquest 1338b9" and "setstage 1338b9 100".
Proceed through the quest. Notice the other children respond from the hallway, but austin and katy must be in the classroom.

Thank you very much Xanderaab, that fixed it for me, with just the small modification of also using "moveto player" on Erin, since she was apparently also stuck and needs to be present
