Install it like any mod. If file was done and installed correctly, then the preset name will appear in BodySlide preset list.

BatchBuild the body and gear for the preset. Button is at botton left corner of BodySlide.

So clearly I'm doing it wrong then? Also whenever I hit preview the body is black.

You might have messed up on the installing part...

I don't know how... Bodyslide works perfectly, I just can't manage to use other people's presets. It pisses me off.

I'm using Vortex

There is a known problem with Vortex and BodySlide. I am not certain if that has been fixed.

Try the following.
- Add BodySlide as application to Vortex. Don't just install it, but add it as application from the Vortex menu.
- Create an empty folder called BodySlide and Outfit Studio under Data folder.

These things have bypassed the problem before. I haven't followed Vortex development close enough to know if this is still the case. I am using Mod Organizer 2 myself.

So basically Vortex is quite ♥♥♥♥♥♥ then? Also, when I preview the body it is black. When I play Skyrim and preview the body, it isn't black. I just want to know why Bodyslide isn't working properly for Fallout 4. It works great for Skyrim, I just don't know how to use another individual modder's preset which sucks.

BodySlide works correctly for Fallout 4. Problem isn't with the application itself. Custom presets work as well.

Problem might be with Vortex and BodySlide compatibility. Vortex is still in open alpha, so problems are to be expected.

As I said, I am using Mod Organizer 2 myself. I have no issues with BodySlide, or custom presets.

So should I just start from scratch? Should I download Mod Organizer 2? I have two more questions as well. Would I be able to load back my modded save files when I wipe everything? I also only have to download bodyslide only once and it's ready for any other game besides Skyrim?

I would recommend asking this directly from Vortex forum in Nexus forums. If you have a Discord account, then you can also join to Nexus Discord server and ask about this in their Vortex channels.

I do not recommend starting over right now. If creating the empty folder didn't solve this, then there might be other easy way to solve this issue. I am not using Vortex for Fallout 4, so I do not know if there is one.

Either Tannin or testers would give you a direct response, in Nexus forums or Discord. I strongly suggest checking from there first, before trying to start over again.

Even if I did start over I'd be able to load my modded saves right?

Yes, if same mods are being installed in correct order.

I just asked about this in Vorte development channel. Tannin is online. I will post back, if someone returns with a solution.

Thank you dude

Apparently not an issue with Vortex. From Tannin:

No, not a known issue. I kind of doubt that this is actually caused by a bug in Vortex though. Vortex just installs files, there is no reason it would fail to install skin textures for BodySlide specifically.

The empty folder case was apparently something else then, which was not directly related to Vortex. Looks like something else is wrong and related to file installation, or paths.
