How to build the institute teleporter without factions?...
Is there a mod or console command for it?

The thing is, I am at war with the Brotherhood, the Railroad is wiped out and Preston doesn't talk with me because I am a Raider Boss at Nuka World. Sturges also doesn't do anything. Didn't plan to do any of this Minutemen bullcrap, I didnt do anything beside rescuing them from the museum. I am not killing all raiders at Nuka World for this bullcrap.

Now I stuck and can't progress any further. Good job Bethesda. Best RPG system ever. Why can't I just build the damn teleporter myself? Please tell me there is a mod or console command for this. Like that I can't progress the story. I expected that the Nuka World Raiders help me building it but guess Bethesda didn't think of that.

But does the quest update if I just teleport into the Institute?... Usually this breaks stuff.

Check out Thuggysmurf's Outcasts and Remnents, Project Valkery. They are on the Nexus. They give you other options to get into the instuite fairly well done
also

I actually use them all already. I am playing that quest with that little boy and the church of atom that is supposed to get ahold of nukes to bring atoms glory to the world. Really cool and well thought out quests. So you say I will get into the institute like that? Is there a specific quest I have to start or should I just follow the questline? I have all those quests installed, Fusion City, Outcasts and Remnants and Project Valkery.

I would actually like it if this would block the further progress of the game. The player's aim is to find allies who help him find his son. If he then goes on a killing spree, becomes a raider and blocks all his paths towards his goal, this would just be consequential.

No, the player shouldn't be locked out of the story under any circumstances. An obvious solution would be a fallback mechanism, which the Minutemen are - but Preston will throw a fit at you until you kill the raiders, locking yourself out of a lot of Nuka World content. Bad design 101.

How does that relate, exactly?

No, it is wise and what we need. In roleplay game, there should be some punishmend for bad deeds...

If you have played earlier Elder scrolls or Fallouts, some deeds lock out of certain factions. In Far Harbor you can kill everyone at once there and complain where are the quests.....

People could complain about lack of quests without killing everyone off, lol.

You see, there's a difference between what you're saying and what's actually happening here.

There's no "punishment". There's no "consequence". This is nothing more than a artificial blockade. Well, unless we count inability to complete the main story after completing and keeping the Overboss status in Nuka World punishment. Sorry for playing the DLC, Bethesda, won't do that again.

Killing everybody in Far Harbor is a choice that you can make conciously, with obvious consequences. Hell, the game literally nudges you into doing that with all the things you can do to the three groups.

Preston being whiny, on the other hand, is a brick wall that comes out of nowhere - not a consequence. You can always get over that brick wall by sacrificing the fun stuff of Nuka World. If Minutemen are the only remaining faction standing you're literally locked out of the main quest until you do. Especially in the RPG sense, this is very out of character, and leading to bad design.

Raiders should also have a way of getting into the Institute, if Preston needs to be a ♥♥♥♥♥ about it. Or maybe, just maybe, Preston could've been professional about the whole thing and cooperated with the player until the main quest is done. Could've done it that way too. But no, kill the raiders or ♥♥♥♥ off.

look at the mod page for Val once you have her and Wag the Dog starts you are into the quest that bypasses the main story. my advice is to not do anymore of the faction quests once you are accepted into the fold. the mod page goes into a bit more detail with out spoiling it to much

Good job, God, Why can't I just build a starship (or anything else super-complicated, mega-expensive) myself?

I want to build my own flying USS Constitution so I can sink the Prydwen then nuclear charge the guns and blow the Institute up. Minutemen win!

If I may, the game works 100% - you are not 'stuck' at anything... Finish the Nuka-World DLC material/story, get the Perks and Special Weapons and all the Recipes, then you are supposed to do Open Season to close up the Nuka-World DLC and then go back to The Gravy, say you're sorry and hold hands, hug it out and then build the Teleporter in Sanctuary.

There is nothing wrong here in the game at all lol you are just being stubborn, ignoring the Nuka-World DLC, wanting it to 'stay how it is forever'.

Also, to explain this, it basically means: you can't button up your trousers and then expect to smell the urinal cake. :ham:
