[Scrapall Command] May be old news for for some people
I read about the 'scrapall' console command on a couple of the fallout 4 wikis and there was comments about it scrapping everything down to the dirt including doorways that change cells and in the case of the sanctuary settlement could also affect the nearby red rocket settlement.

Well some possible good news for players looking to save some time clearing the sanctuary settlement who also have most of the DLC the 'scrapall' command simply scraps everything that you could normally do one at a time.

A couple of warnings through:

Only works on PC unless there is a mod for consoles that adds PC console commands.

Save before trying this - its a Bethesda game remember so better to save before doing something that may cause problems.

This also scraps the various crafting stations which cannot be recrafted without local leader rank 2 at minimum (christima 6 & level 14) so you may want to wait to use the command in a
settlement you want to do any crafting in or console in the crafting stations that were scrapped.

I did not test this in all settlements.

Most DLC in this case means everything except the HD texture pack, Season Pass & Creation Club in my case.

The doorway to the basement shelther behind a blue house in sanctuary did show the area name it went to but I did not test if it still works.

It's a universal console command that scraps every object in the scrap leveled list (vanilla one) and only leaves the workshop.
Very handy for plots like Starlight Drive-In and gives you more room.

Not really a good idea, as it also affects areas past the workshop. And in some areas can cause major issues (vault 88 for example)

No it doesn't, it only gets rid of objects within a settlement that has bounds around it, and won't work with mods such as Conquest.
Vault 88 has multiple building bounds and the command only works with the one you're currently in.

It's a radius command, it's why you can use it at the corner of some settlements and get items from world spots around them added (or in some cases duplicates of things that shouldn't be... like 2 copies of the hello honey tape)

it will also get rid of transition doors, like the one to the root cellar in Sanctuary and the cave entrance to the mole rat den under Red Rocket.

It is Extremely Advised to Never Ever use that command.

You can move things you want to keep to safety outside the border using console commands (even the workbench). Save before scrapping, as they said, just in case it goes beyond the border. Then move whatever you want to keep back into place.

You can't pick up the workbench, but you can move it with modpos x/y/z ###
You might be able to move it with a rug glitch, but I haven't tried. Modpos definitely works on the workbench. I usually move it in all of my settlements, once I get something built, and put the teleport rug near it. You can adjust the orientation of the workbench with setangle z [0 to 359] or setangle z -[0 to 359]
Any number will work, but obviously you are just spinning it around in a circle.

You can also move walls around with setangle, but it will rotate around the center of the square that it is attached to. It's good for moving stubborn walls into place.

Never had much problem with ~scrapall.
it's the mod "scrap everything" that caused me endless grief and crashes to desktop.
scrapping is boring, and doesn't get you XP or advance the game.

I really love narco threads.

For best results use a mod that not only cleans up every settlements but also redo the "precombines/previs" so it makes it good to use.

Collection of all my DCnR settlement mods. All ESL Flagged, BA2 merge tool included. DC mods clean perm junk, rebuild precombines/previs and make many settlements fully scrapable.

The border you see is not necessarily the border the engine sees, if you read this ages old thread right scrapall can kill stuff up close to the red rocket depending on where you stand so the advice to "put stuff out of the borderzone" is a bit more variable and risky as someone might expect. It´s a command that works in a radius around you, not the build borders.

Why do you think most people use mods to scrap stuff (like raze my settlement) as those limits what can get scrapped at all.

The "scrapall" command is a debug command for the developers, not a comfort tool for the players.
