Recommended level for Curtain Call (Survival)

I'm only level 8 and I keep getting stomped on this quest. I'm trying to get Strong Unlocked ASAP. I was just wondering whats the lowest level you've done this quest? Do I need to be high level and wear overpowered gear to stand a chance for this quest?

i recommend waiting til you get a heavy auto .38 pipe machine gun off the supermutants and save up ammo once you reach like 600 rounds go . the rifle usally spawns on the mutants on building to diamond city like couple blocks away from it usally diamond city guards near that building try to get them fighting each other i shoot the supermutants and a supermutant hound comes after me then i run to the diamond city guards usally sets off a war i can loot thier weapons and armor . i just sit back wait them dook it out.

Thanks I will give this a try. I'm running a melee char. My main weapon is a razorblade swatter. I already have a set of diamond city guard armor. I can kill the supermutants and hounds easily enough; the problem is they can kill me very easily also. I try to let dogmeat engage them first and then beat them to death. A single shot from a hunting rifle takes a ton of hp even with 10 endurance..

I beat the quest yay! I had to abuse jet to kill fist though, my char is a jet addict now.
