Is it worth starting with 10 int?
I've never started with 10 int before, and i was wondering whether it was worth it? I will level faster, but would i be better off investing it in endurance or strength?
I was planning on making a build with 3 in everything else, and then 10 int. I feel like it's a good plan, but if anyone has tried this let me know how it is.

Depends on the character type and background you want to use. My character started as a wounded veteran, who completed his doctorate after the service. He has INT 10, but quite low physical stats.

So far so good. I did make the character as PA character. Stealth perks are so low though that it would be trivial to place few points to AGI now and start increasing his stealth.

I would say that INT 10 build works fine, if you plan a proper back story for your character and give some thought of your playing style beforehand.

10 int is good for xp, but low int and idiot savant is better in the long run. I don't remember what it is off the top of my head but people did calculations to see what int and savant combo give the highest possible amount of average xp

10 in ANY stat is not worth it, since you can pick up a bobble head that raises INT by 1....

That will increase it to 11, which is what I am about to do.
You could actually get some stat at 12, if you wanted to.

I think 10 intelligence increases exp for all actions so i always start with 10. The intelligence bobblehead isnt to far from Diamond City to get it to 11.

I dont use any bobbleheads if the stat isnt already at 10 so i can get them all to 11.

The agility bobblehead near the start of the game is still sitting there for example, in my current ironman survival play through attempt.

Problem imo is that so many hugely useful things are locked behind int so that you almost must have it.

What would you guys think about a build focused around the unyielding legendary effect?

Yes, starting with 10 int is good if you are going to use some of the perks that require high int.

Idiot Savant is great for XP at lower levels of int (and is actually still worth something like 3% per rank even with high int). It's a very good alternative if you decide you don't need those perks with higher int requirements.

Gets ridiculously powerful. Combine it with Crusader/Inquisitor of Atom, Nerd Rage and maxed endurance.

To manage radiation, use sludge packs or the salvaged assaultron head.

10 int Drink some Alcohol over your missing kids crib... look down and pick up the special book +1 int when alcohol wares off you will be at +11 then get the bobble head +1.
Base Int 12. 136% XP

Find some sharp armor pieces + 6 int, glass's +2, lab coat +2. do a quest and take a Berry Mentats +5 to celebrate as you turn in quest.
26 int 181% XP

Idiot Savant rank 2 is 1% at 10 or higher but you will be doing 1,000's of things that give xp so it will still be going off giveing you x5. 905% XP

painted power armor +6
32 int 199% XP

If you take some of the +int perks and or some of the dlc content you can pump it up another +7
39 int 220% XP

Don't remember what all stacks but some extra drugs
X-Cell +2, Daddy-O +3, reg Mentats +2
46 Int 241% XP (if they work with eachother)
Idiot Savant, 1,230% XP

None of it matters except to unlock the perks you want. By lvl 25 you are a demi-god of destruction and essentially unstoppable.

It comes down to "do you want to be an arsehole who says he has the highest intelligence ever" or not?

If not, then just click "start" and enjoy your game.

If yes, then I have nothing useful to offer.

You level pretty fast regardless of your int so I would say it isn't worth concerning yourself with it. It's not like New Vegas where you would be depriving yourself of skillpoints.

It is an xp investment that ALWAYS pays off. Even with an 12 INT.
