Easy fix for (texture glitch) walls or floors disappearing and reappearing
Found this on the Nexus forums and it works like a charm.

If you use any of the scrapper type mods like spring cleaning, scrap everything, cleaner settlements, etc... you've probably experienced area's in the game where textures (walls, floors, ceilings, trees, etc...) don't render properly. Sometimes completely disappearing and reappearing from a different angle or when you get really close. Sometimes not rendering at all. This simple fix should solve the problem.

Just add this to your .ini file

i warn you!
Good luck with that. A couple of us been trying to explain and tell people for years, but they keep doing it anyways, lol.

Here is your solution:
Check your MODS and find what is causing Trouble instead of tampering with important settings!

I have over 300 Mods installed and i am still able to check what Mod is causing trouble even mid game.
Make some real saves before installing new Mods you don´t know to fall back on it and check the newest Mods first if youre troubleshooting.

This is a real solution, dismissing it just means you are being lazy.

this "fix" disables previs precombine optimization in fallout 4.
manipulating the settings
bUseCombinedObjects=1
bUsePreCreatedSCOL=1
bUsePreCulledObjects=1
may result in dropped frame rates in dense areas and where you applied scrap mods or changed terrain by destroying performance optimized objects. you even may be able to destroy precombined objects (you will be able to scrap and destroy all optimized objects) which slows down rendering performance. the result is much more fps drops during gameplay.
you llterally can deliberately trash game performance in the long term. if you realize it it will be too late to save the setup. the game will die a slow performance and stability death with this "easy fix". if this happens you should at least know why your game performance dropped and your game tends to crash.
check always that all three settings are activated and that no (scrap)mod ini tries to circumvent these settings "to scrap even more objects."

i warn you! it is a terrible idea to disable the fallout 4 performance optimization settings to be known and resulting in long term performance or stabiliy issues!
if you encounter glitches drop the responsible mod and not these essential game settings!

Could someone please confirm that their game actually got ffd up later by using this "fix"? :D

Nevermind! :D I guess one can occasionally use this fix to get through some stuff, if there's no precombine fix or patch for some mods. However I'll probably find out which mod's messing stuff up for me if this ever happens again, so far it was just one interior that, I think... a mod might have added! :D

P.S. Don't know if this fix really can be so awful, cause I had it on for some time, cause the world was disappearing :D ,but now I have reinstalled my game a couple of times, cause I was looking for the culprit of constant crashing. I have way more mods, but somehow have fixed it. I'll add that I had all the mods turned off and it still crashed, even after reinstalls, of course I would remove inis, I guesses some leftover of an enb might have caused it cause I had one file in the main folder, but I'm not sure if it would do anything on it's own. Anyhow, with FO4, like many people. I'm left puzzled. ;)

Oh, forgot to add, still playing the same save! Should be important to note!

Also, I only turned it off now because of the dangers some people mention and my game works anyhow, besides people also say this turns off features and that doesn't sound very good.o.o. :D

From what I have read is the precombine system very sensitive, meaning, if there is any issue with it will the game stop using it by turning it off. When a mod changes something that affects a precombine somewhere, but it has not been recreated and included by the mod author in its mod, will this cause the entire optimisation to be turned off silently. My guess is that for many players who play with mods are the precombines turned off for this reason, unless they know about it and have all the additional mods installed that fix it so the optimisation can stay on. I have yet to find a way to verify this and if there is a safe way to find out whether the game actually uses precombines or if it has been turned off due to some mod.

all i can share is my experoence before i was aware of this problem. i used scrap mods and terrain overhauling mods (without previs precombine regeneration treatment) and after this i got more and more the impression that my game was getting slower (more and more fps drops also ctd here and there, grapical glitches...). there is never a sudden death, maybe some ctd. but playing in dense, suffering areas the game gets more and more laggy even with capable hardware. the game rendering lags and simply gets worse.

if you encounter visual bugs this "fix" is not a fix but in best case a lazy workaround to conceal an exisistng rendering mess getting worse.

that is the effect you will more or less encounter by disabling/not using fo4 previs precombine optimization. if you are not sure study existing articles about this topic. just google "previs precombine". you will see this fo4 specific topic is important but complex! so do not mess with it and avoid any mods introducing related problems.

Did you check your OneDrive? For some reason I found mine there rather than the standard place.

THANK YOU. You just another soul from insanity! I use MO2 to run the game through Steam, and always ensured that Scrap Everything was last in my Load Order and never had any problems.

Somehow, I stared losing textures near Easy City Downs and BADTFL Regional Office. Dropped that line in via MO2's access to the ini file and BOOM! The textures and I are BACK!

Thank you SO much, and in particular, for living up to your username!

Necroing an old ass thread but this is still the solution. Spent 2+ hours trawling FO4edit and a simple ini tweak solved it.

I'm not prone to PDA's, but I could hug you bro. Saved many future headaches.
